m_reaney 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 I have a minor leak from a hose, although I have no idea where the power steering pump and hoses are. Can someone please tell me? Cheers
my_e36 43 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 How do you know there's a leak there if you don't know where they are? Anyway, power steering reserivor is under the MAF sensor, so pump and hoses would be below that.
m_reaney 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) I took the car in for a warrant and thats what I was told. MAF sensor? (please excuse my ignorance) where is that? Cheers for your help Edited April 27, 2006 by m_reaney
Guest Andrew Report post Posted April 27, 2006 its pretty well buried on your car Open the bonnet - on the right hand side (with you facing down the car) under the throttle bodies is a brown container - from there are power steering hoses. Might be best to take to mechanic to get fixed.

my_e36 43 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 Mass Air Flow sensor, it's just before the throttle body in the air flow path.
m_reaney 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 I had my car in at BMW yesterday, turns out it was just a couple of clips that needed replacing on the hoses. Thanks for all your help. Mike
