Davehaynes 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2021 Evening team. I picked up a 2007 320i which I'm very happy with. But I hate radio!! I have the BMW professionally head unit and no i-drive. I also have steering wheel controls which I want to keep use of. I currently have a Bluetooth dongle set up plugged into my AUX which works great, auto connects plays music. But I obviously can't use my wheel contro7to change track. Is there a simple way to get this hooked up that I'm over looking? I'm thinking not... And that I may need to fit an aftermarket stereo to gain Bluetooth capability. Which seems a shame! If I go aftermarket head unit, will I loose use of my steering wheel controls? Thanks! aja540i 1906 Report post Posted May 13, 2021 Check out Dension, I have one of their units in my 07 M5 and it works pretty well, navigation through the Idrive is a bit slow but they should have a solution for your situation.

I wanted to retain a stock look and feel and have all the original buttons working. The GROM gave me bluetooth audio and MP3 etc via a USB stick (that pretended to be a six disc CD changer so the stock head unit could control it). If you had CCC / iDrive I'd recommend an AVIN Android head unit replacement....but you don't so I can vouch for the GROM.
