nite 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2022 Noticed a small coolant leak and check that I'm running low at the moment. Is this Penrite stuff safe to use on an E46 330i to top up while I get it checked and fixed? The SCA "car checker" says it's not compatible but I think I've seen others mention it here before. https://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/p/penrite-penrite-blue-long-life-anti-freeze-anti-boil-premix-coolant---5l/575813.html?gclsrc=ds
Eagle 1662 Report post Posted August 6, 2022 (edited) You want to Penrite green which is BMW spec, that blue coolant isnt (colour not always accurate). You dont want really want to mix anything if its running the BMW blue stuff. Id just add water until you get the leak fixed. Running diluted coolant or water for a short period isn't going to do any harm. Then you can either re-fill with BMW blue coolant or flush the system and switch to Penrite green etc which is far cheaper and works fine. https://penriteoil.com.au/products/green-oem-coolant-concentrate Edited August 6, 2022 by Eagle
