E46 DWA BMW complete alarm modules $420

Recommended Posts

I’d brought these modules to install in my old E46 M3 . Mine was imported from Japan so had no Alarm or DWA Alarm wiring loom. Was going to make one up using realoem and work out connector pins etc. Sold the e46 before doing

Some e46s are pre-wired for Alarm and will have a sticker on the boot carpet liner.

Note that many of these modules are also used on e39.

Alarm modules for e46

Includes

Boot tilt sensor module

Interior ultrasound module and brackets for coupe, sedan, hatch but not convertible

Brand new Motorsport headliner module cover

Bonnet Switch

Under bonnet siren and brackets

Spare DWA interior mirror ( has the led that flashes when alarm set.

DIY guide link here. BMW pdfs are also in link.

Alarm needs to be coded to activate and there a different mode options. Connects to BMW GM5 module to work with car lock unlock functions.

Is there different types of E46 alarms or just the one?

The e46 siren / tilt sensor / bonnet switch are the same. Only difference is the interior ultrasound sensor is different on convertible. Mirror isn’t really needed , but it does have the alarm on flashing led.

Only other difference is the colour of the interior ultrasound sensor cover. This one is a  new Motorsport coloured one.

I did intend to put this into my Japan import e46 m3. But traded it last year.
