E46 tail light issues? (any good auto electricians?)

My E46 M3 was retrofitted with genuine LED tail lights 5 years ago and it's been working fine. Just failed WOF because the tail lights won't go brighter when brake is on IF headlight is on. When the headlight is off, the tail lights would grow brighter when the brake pedal is depressed.

Anybody has any clue where I could start looking from?

Would you have any reliable auto electrician, preferably in the North Shore, Auckland area? Thanks!

The earth wires in the tail light plugs are a known weak point. I would look there first.

Lol thank you. Literally just got the car back from the auto electrician, and yes that was the problem. Bummer I didn't bother to scratch the paint off the ground contact.
