supersonic01 0 Report post Posted Friday at 11:04 PM I have a 2001 325CI, it has a 188mm diff with a 3:15 gear, I'm trying to upgrade the ring and pinion and can not figure out if it's a 188, 188K or 188L. It's a open diff not a LSD. Iv called a bmw dealership and they were not able to help. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between the 3 or what's the trick? Eagle 1762 Report post Posted Saturday at 05:50 AM 188k. 188 is for older models up to E36. 188L is newer models after E46,
elias 387 Report post Posted Saturday at 05:52 AM Are you wanting to go to a different ratio? I could be interested in buying the 3.15 off you.
