Guest Andrew Report post Posted July 5, 2006 Hi - Gus, Tane & I are doing the Taupo Daynight Thriller this year. It is a 12 hour relay race on MTB based in Taupo. It's a REALLY cool event (Gus & I did it 6 years ago in 5th form). Ideally - we need one more team member to make it about 3 hours of riding each (cause i'm fat and unfit these days). We are by no means MTB hardouts and any skill level is acceptable (unless you are 10 minutes slower than us like a previous day night thriller team member ) Obviously it would help if you were in the North Island. I want to send the entry form away ASAP as there is a limit of 750 teams and last year it was full. The event is on the 16th of September (Saturday) we will be travelling down on Friday the 15th for registration. Obviously if you are in Auckland or Wellington you can travel with either Gus or I - or Tane in welly. Sense of humor is a must! bravo 35 Report post Posted July 5, 2006 Sounds like fun - PM or MSN me Andrew. A decent bike is going to be my major shortcoming - only got a dirty old 10 speed. But I doubt I'd hold you up as I passed the run test for police training and now everyone's bleating on about how hard it is and that they should relax the time limit.
