Mavrick 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 Ahh I see. Can't say i've ever paid much attention of the prices of M5's. Why is the interest in these so different to wards the interest in M3's?

StylesM5 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 When e39 M5's struggle to sell for 50K I think he's having a laugh.Interesting proposition the E28 M5. Lighter than the E34, rarer, some say better because they're a bit more raw. Although M5's have gotten quicker as they have evolved, they have lost some of the "ultimate driving machine" ness, if you get what I mean.I bought my NZ new E34 M5 at 10 years old (2001) at 15% of it's original value ($31,000). I'm picking E39's will reach that mark earlier than 10 years old. The oldest are currently 7 years old (1999 models), and guys on Trade Me are asking 52,000 ONO. Whether they're getting that for them is another question. When they hit $30k, I'll be looking to trade in the Territory, should be within 12 months.
