Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted March 13, 2004 I hate the way the steering wheel in my car is so damn big! its bad enough that the steering is sloooooow let alone the big ass wheel. 380mm Dia. Many cars I've driven have slightly smaller wheels. 370mm in the XR6 for instance. Now this may not seem like a big change, but it makes a world of difference! Ideally I would like a momo, 330-350mm. Anyone got a momo going cheap? What sort of wheels do you cats have?
Gus 5 Report post Posted March 13, 2004 hmm....agreed......very slow rack and big wheel is bus like.....im getting a sportline one this week....momo is very nice (ask grant) but $$$....i cant wait for the small one! andrews one is sportline as well
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted March 13, 2004 I'm using a Momo Race and it is heaps better that the M-Tech bus wheel I had!! Rack is still slow as buggery which doesn't help when you need to get to opposite lock real quick, aye Gus!! ps. it's a 350mm
Gus 5 Report post Posted March 13, 2004 yes......had my share of much needed opposite lock not happening moments ...momo race= .....but im poor...sportline ones are pretty cheap....not that nice quality.....but might look at getting one recovered in suede.....depending on $$
Guest Andrew Report post Posted March 13, 2004 This is me - its OK - can't see much of the speedo though - I want a Momo Race or Corse
Grant 4 Report post Posted March 14, 2004 I have a Momo Corse. It is perfect. There is no more to say about it than that. It does however slightly obscure your view on the top lhs of the speedo, but not too bad. I hated the original BMW Wagon Wheel. Cheers

E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted March 15, 2004 Good choice Grant. Momo Corse is top of my list. I don't actually own my wheel, just an "borrowing" for a "while" It is a very comfy wheel, definitley a hard choice between the Corse & Race. I'm also "borrowing" a lovely Momo Anatomico (long) shift knob, very nice!!

Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 Did I mention I had a boss kit with BMW horn button? lol "Borrowed" my mates spare wheel last night, then went for a blat down a twisty road. It makes a load of difference! I still think the car is let down by the slow rack, if you need to get to opposite lock in a hurry! Heres a picture! Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 I just have never put it on. Yeah, that black button looks real nice though... As does your wheel, and your stereo, your car...
skubez 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 How much are the boss kits normally? And where can you get the boss kits from?
Grant 4 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 How much are the boss kits normally? And where can you get the boss kits from? They are normally around $80 or so, and you can get them from anywhere that sells the steering wheels.Cheers
