SIKE30 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 Hi I have a 1986 318i with a m10 engine. For some reason the engine does not idle steady. It revs back n forward from 800 to 1000 rpm. I have changed HT leads, Dist.rotor, Dist.cap, Spark plugs, The head gasket has been changed not so long ago and the head was reconditioned. I am pretty sure there are no vaccum leaks. It does this at normal operating temperature and sometimes when engine is cold. (could a coil cause this?) Please help me. Thank you
