blk320i 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 (edited) so i plugged it in and the central locking still doesnt work. but i did notice another big black plug and a couple of smaller white ones that are not plugged in to anything, does this have anything to do with the central locking? if not what are they for? OLLIE 26 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 a common problem that stops the central loking from working is the plug that take the cabling fom the drivers door into the car (front kick panel) pull out the plug and clean the connection thoroughly. water gets in it over time and corrodes the connecions. MADBMA 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 did ya ever think that the central locking module was stuffed originally and taken out by the previous owner and thrown into the boot to oneday be replaced? id say it was already stuffed thats why it was taken out and you might have to get another one, just my geuss. hotwire 352 Report post Posted October 14, 2006 The modules are known to fail, also check terminals for corrosion & clean if required, as already said - check terminals in drivers door jamb plug for corrosion. If you need another module - I have one here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=73721461
