Palazzo 477 Report post Posted November 13, 2006 My boss used to have an 850i, (different motor admittedly), he sold it after a $10k service/repair bill. It's a $200k car, regardless of what it costs now, it will have $200k car servicing costs.

kiwi535 538 Report post Posted November 13, 2006 if you had a problem with the engine andwent to the dealer who had to replace some parts and say some driveline parts too a 10000 dollar bill would be easy...apparently even the old s38 cots 10000 to rebuild.....in the US! isis 16 Report post Posted November 13, 2006 [i'd hit that if the mileage was lower. you wouldnt be able to afford it even if it had a lower mileage... those e31's are an electronics nighmare to maintain and it aint cheap. if you're buying one, stick with an 840CI, i wouldnt even touch an 850CI if it cost me pennies!
