Damn you are all nuts paying this much for them!

go buy some real racing wheels unless you actually have a real Alpina!

Oh and BTW for sale: 1 Alpina C1 missing its wheels, hows $20K sound, to the winner of the matching wheels? :P

Ahhh each to their own....

Its all a matter of opinion isnt it.

I wouldnt want a set of racing wheels if you paid me. The price they eventually reached means different things to different people.

There was a time when I was just starting out at work that I woudlve bought a whole car for that price. Nearly twenty years later and things are very different. All of a sudden it doesnt seem too much to have a genuine set of Alpinas. They are the only set of 16' Alpinas Ive seen in 2 1/2 years.

There is a price for exclusivity.

They're no longer E30 fitment - aren't fiats 4x98, or was hub bore just changed?

Thats the only reason I think they're overpriced - they appear to have been butchered, and could hardly be called mint. And they're not a staggered set (bling factor)

He re-drilled the hubs on his car, so the wheels are unchanged.

Staggered would be the icing on the cake Ill give you that.

How many of these have people seen around NZ, Ive not seen any in 2 1/2 years.

I asked that question on the auction but he never answered. Alfas are 4 x 98mm so I imagined they had been butchered.

Nice wheels, I should have brought a set back from the UK. I bought some on ebay when I was over there for around 300 pounds but the seller said they got stolen from his garage. Bummer.

I have seen 3 sets (genuine) on E30's down here in Chch.
