Guest Andrew Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Well my headlights fill up with water, its bloody annoying - so periodically I have to empty them. In case you were wondering how to remove the headlights from a pre-facelift euro spec e30 (the jappas have sealed beam lights). These are the non-sealed e30 lights. Remove that bit of grill trim - 3 clips 2 screws. Remove the chrome (or black in my case) trim around the headlight) Heat up the plastic clips with the hair dryer - as they expand pull the light off the clip - do this with all three. Empty out the water heh and proceed with the advanced drying technique

Guest Andrew Report post Posted March 27, 2004 amazing the bulbs could handle being under water - check out the corrosion - the main dipped beam light couldn't handle it.. as you can see its quite new.

Guest Andrew Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Good effort, can you seal the headlight now (silicon??) Cheers It actually appears to be leaking from behind - true to form the headlight relay just managed to blow - so now headlights - but now I have that fixed but only 3 lights work. I wasn't really expecting the bulbs to work once I took em out and put them back in.
