M20 325i head anyone?

I have a 1986 E28 with a M20B27 motor which i want to put a 325i head on, i just need to find one. Anyone have one?

Either im going to do that or sell my car as is.

You cant just "Put a 325 head on" as you say, you would need the 325 pistons as well. They are the same bore, but the 325 head and pistons are designed to work together. What you want is a 320 or 323 head, (code 731) which is then a bolt on job.

I have a complete 323 motor, with a head in very good order, $300.

even then I think there are problems with rod lengths etc.

Do what stephen said and chuck a 323i head on. From memory the later 323i have bigger ports.
