HELP!

The gearbox electrics light has just come on and won't go off... Its an orange light on the dashboard which looks like a cog with an exclamation mark inside it.

The car still drives perfectly, but I have stopped driving it in case I do any damage.

Does anyone know what this fault could be? Also, can I drive it or is it safer to use another car?

Drive another car, get it checked asap and don't drive it ... gearbox issues aren't any to fvck with.

That light normally signals "limp to workshop" mode. You should take it in asap to a competent company and get it checked over. It may be something simple, but may be ready to self-destruct. Don't take a chance and drive it all over the place.
