freshbeats 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2007 Hey all, as the title says the computer doesnt illuminate and you can barely read it. Anyone had this problem, is it an easy fix?
bravo 35 Report post Posted March 13, 2007 (edited) Backlight has gone. Never fixed it, but its a case of opening the OBC up and replacing the bulb. Apparently its not straight forward, but doable. I've been told the bulbs are tricky to get hold of too - 6V rings a bell. Edit: yup invloves soldering two new 6v bulbs in - link to E30 Network article Edited March 13, 2007 by bravo

will 169 Report post Posted March 13, 2007 use 12v globes and wire them in parallel, have done this mod many times, it is easy. You can get the 12v globes from repco etc. Will
