1993 M3 leaking valve cover

Recommended Posts

I have bought back my old M3 for the 3rd time.....but it needs a bit of maintenance.

Most urgent is a leaking valve cover gasket.

BMW have the gasket in tock but not the spark plug seals. Just wondering if you can reuse the existing seals?

Thank you.

Is it the case with these that aftermarket aren't really good enough?

or are aftermarket suitable?

Use original BMW gaskets for the cam cover and plugs.

I'd also recommend the rubber seals under the bolts too, if they havent been done. +1 for genuine seals, the Victor Reinz one i got at one point just didn't quite seal as well as the genuine one I also used.
