  2. +1, Don't know much about wheels but I know Work are expensive new so I believed it (Dunno if i'd spend that much on wheels!), was wondering if they'd be custom offset etc, makes it more likely to be that price after buying the wheels initially, then shipping, tax etc i'd suppose

  3. Yeah call plates.

I still don't technically own BMDUBS tbh, the asian dude I bought it off didn't sign the papers.. Need to look into that

Possession is 9/10ths of the law is what plates.co.nz basicly told me when I enquired about loaning one of my old plates to a mate, they said basicly once he has it I could have a hard time getting it back if things went sour... so just make sure no one steals it and you'll be right! haha

Interesting to know plates will contact a plate owner. Ive been keeping an eye on a plate that hasn't been on a car in years, might ring them when I have some money and get them to contact the owner.

Edit: just carjam'd the plate and it's on a merc now :( Shizzle lol

  4. So if my E39 doesnt sell soon (looking likely lol) i'm gonna get a M5 or AC Schnitzer rep kit and some new wheels rather than selling it for bugger all, I'm having probs finding 18x9's (or 17x9's if they looked real good) that I like, dont wanna goto 18x8.. I currently have 17x9 and they car looks awesome with wide rims from the back so don't wanna get anything narrower. I've been eyeing up some of Jono/Zenetti's rims but think they're the wrong offset aswell as the width "issue"

So has anyone seen wheels similar to these but the right offset and wider?

(Jono: Can you get them in in the right size and offset without it costing an arm and a leg if i decided to buy some?)

    And...

http://www.magandtyredirect.com/wheeldetail.php?rc=2502 (would get re-finished in silver though as I cant see black time attack working on a blue E39)

Other wheel suggestions would be appreciated aswell, as im just seeing whats out there at the moment, just something clean looking that will suit a wee drop, tints and eventually kit

  5. Eurorec are OTT with prices! goto All cars and try them first.

I recently brought the following from Eurorec: Clutch pedal rubber (2nd hand), Two rear disc retainer screws(second hand and half rusty) and a clutch resivour cap (brand new) cost like $30 or something criminal. They must have had HEAPS of pedal rubbers and screws, I was expecting $15-$20 tops...maybe I live in a dream world  ,

Glad i've brought most of my stuff off brent or mike and had it posted down here.

  6. I brought the E30 last year when I was still at high school de reg'd, and have spent all my money on it so just want it road legal so I can drive it haha And i'm looking at going back to Polytec so I don't wanna have 2 money pits :D

However if this doesn't sell soon it might be time for some tints, a small drop, and refurb'd rims/new rims, as its a mint car...just cant chuck it around corners or anything fun haha

  7. Cars still for sale, have new pics on trademe

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...089&ed=true

It Had airbag light on afew weeks ago, so got that fixed, turned out to be passnger seat sensor so it now has a brand new one.

Genuine good car, has one little fault i can think of at the moment which is seat adjuster button is lose, still works fine (will fix this no doubt) but none that effect the operation or driving of the car.

For those without Trademe access at work:

    1999 528i

    OrientBlau

    174kms

    2.8 5speed tiptronic-smooth

    17" BMW style 32 wheels

    WOF

    REGO

    like 8 airbags

    M-spec sport steering wheel

Price is $9500 ..not really negotiable. Will talk with bimmersport members though.

Don't Need it gone, just want the cash for the E30...but the E30 can wait, it's quite happy in the garage currently haha

    Cheers,

    Andrew
