Does this mean the fliers are still go or no go?

What do you think about buying rims (either M or ACS) off European Autospares? Their prices seemed to be pretty reasonable on a set of ACS off a Z3, $2000 with tyres still on them 215/40/17's Is somewhere like that a good place to buy stuff?

Your right, Meguairs is great, did a little section of the car and it brings up the metallic flakes very very nicely. Quite a nice before and after shot complete with bits of fluff on the new surface

I didnt know the M Tech had a LSD, nice. I wouldnt mind some of those MTech sills in black, but I already have the logos on the doors and a "Sport Edition, Designed by BMW" thing on the glovebox. Maybe later on

You could put a switch in the remote line as a last resort to get around the problem. Stick a volt meter across the remote cable to see if its behaving correctly to the ignition outputs (off at off and on at ignition on). If its just staying on, your headunit might be to blame, guess a switch would be cheaper :-)

Had a closer look at it, one of the clips is broken the other had just popped out. Will have to go seek a new clip :-)

I havent seen an amp that does that, all lights on them should turn off if you turn your head unit off unless the remote turn on cable is wired to a always on power circuit somewhere else in the car but I'm pretty sure its only a few volts of an input on that cable.

Further investigation reveals the clip has come off the skirt but is still in the car on the two that have popped off, can you pop them back on without removing the whole kit?

I just got back from the BMW showroom (drooling over M5's). And noticed the skide skirt on the passenger side has popped out in the middle, how is this held in and how would one go about clipping it back in?

What do you use on leather interiors? I know BMW have their own cleaning stuff, is that the one to go for or is there anything else people have been using with great results?

I have on mine Michelin Pilot SX 205/60/15 which came with the car. When these wear out I was keen for some new rims to go with a new set but the sticker inside the drivers door from BMW with tyre sizes only lists a 235/40/17 option in a 17" rim. Is there any reason they dont list anything between a 205 and a 235?

I run 96 on mine, found the performance to be quite nice and the economy is also quite good (around 360-400km to 30L) thats spirited driving too, so I could do better. Havent found a easily available source for 98 yet down here but wouldnt mind trying it.
