Its from a 1989 FL 325i, the only real difference in laymans terms...is that the SA cars have a nut welded into the chassis on either side. I'll get a picture up tonight. The eyebrows have been sold.
-
Not sure on that, I know the SA cars have bolts so its an easy fit...never tried to fit one to any other car.

Thanks

Cheers guys - pity he's selling it. It sold today to another Bimmersporter, who will make himself known in due course, so at least its staying in Welly and in the family.

All My son has decided to sell his 1990 SA E30 325i BMW, this car has about 120k on the clock, is a manual with leather interior, electric windows, electric sunroof, central locking, trip computer and 17" Alpina replicas. The car has been fitted with an is front lip, crystal indicators and all red rear lights and has lowered King springs. It has a lot of receipts and I'd love to buy it off him, he's looking for about 5500 from Bimmersporters, WOF July and Tax March 2012. He's selling as he wants to go back to an MR2. Cheers Paul

I’m selling my 1986 Renault 5 GT Turbo, the car has done 50,000 miles and it's a rare Electric Blue Phase 1. The car first came to NZ in 1988 The engine has been restored with new high strength pistons, new top and bottom gaskets, new timing chain, thrust washers, big end shells etc and uses high tensile bolts from K-Tec racing in the UK and it doesn’t burn oil, use water of blow out white smoke. I managed to track down some of the original interior in the UK and replaced the worn material and bolsters so the interior is in great condition. Any missing trim, engine piping, screws etc have been sourced from the UK with the help of CGB Motorsport and GT Turbo Spares, plus I’ve now got some low temp fan switches and low temp thermostats ready to be fitted. The cars original orange indicators have been replaced with aftermarket white ones, which suits the blue car. At present the car sits on 15†ROH Sektas and has recently new tyres. The Original alloys have been refurbished and power coated at Tawa Metal Emersions and just need tyres. I’ve recently purchased some Koni lowering springs, Braided brake hoses and Poly suspension/rollbar bushes. The car doesn’t get much use anymore, ie just round the block to keep the battery charged and this ontinually brings a smile to my face, however most of the week it just sits on my drive. The car has road tax until December and the WOF is due in August. I'd be after around $4500 ish

Alan as discussed, keen to come and have a look and would love to buy it back. Here she is when I owned her...
-
Ooh my old car, was in very good nick this car and it looks very nice with those alloys.
-
Yup Max, I'd have another e30 anyday I know where all the bits go on them...
-
Yes thanks for got all about that, I understood that after Apex's comment. Although my little resto project write up is under the Renault Project section.
-
Yeah, very different to say the least. Luckily I don't have a beard, must be my German upbringing They are a friendly bunch, just like on here. I bought this as my German cars never needed much work, this was my little challenge to myself to see if I had the skills to get it to go. Plus its 850kg and 115hp and goes 0-60 in 7.3 ish seconds. With a little tweak you could get 150hp...I never bothered as I'm more interested in getting it back to standard spec.

what on earth is the 10 post limit ....thanks Apex, the FF 10 page limit.
-
Yes you are correct, it does need the front lip. But it is still a genuine Gen3. They are great handling cars with the rear engine rear wheel drive set up. . Lots of fun to be had.

Guys I'm looking at getting something else to use as a run around, so the MR2 is up for sale. The car has just been serviced and wof'ed in Feb and passed without any problems, the car has done 238000kms and pulls fine, uses no oil or water. The 3rd syncro will crunch up and down when driving normally. If you do a easy up change it won't crunch and if you double it down it won't crunch either. It has not had any mods and is stock standard. It has been well maintained (I have a big stack of paper from Rutherford and Bond with it's history) and it is tidy. It has had two owners since being imported one a lady and the other before me was a MR2 club member. The interior is in great condition, seats are good, bolsters are solid and all the adjustments work. All electrics (incl A/C) work. I have an Original stereo and I have a new headunit with aux in for my ipod. All the carpets are good, no sunroof . I take pride in my cars and clean them quite regularly, so the interior doorcards, dash, cloth etc is all very tidy. The red paint needs another polish and the only issue is that the clear is peeling on the rear L/H pillar but the colour coats are not. I'd like to get $2800 ono. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=369710160
