You can buy a preamp unit which goes between your record player and your stereo. The problem is that most new stereos don't have phono in. I just happen to have one if you want to drop me a line. It's only about 100x60x40mm, and needs to be plugged into a power supply. Cheers, hope this helps.

After the magazine for a 6 disc cd for a 95 740i, pretty sure it's a pioneer, part no. 8 375 836. Cheers.
