'An 1987 BMW e30 M3 has just been sold on the TM Auction site for $90,100.' A willing seller and a couple of willing bidders contested for the ownership of one very good patina'd e30 M3 indeed.

'Lot stock and barrel' really have gone, apart from the e46 3.38 ratio diff; if no-one buys it will likely go in/with the e46Ti 2000RS project lot. Anyone looking for a good e46 3.38 locked diff $250 can take it.
-
Interest in the engine being sold with 6spd g/box. Also added locked diff as part of the package too. Updated listing to reflect the changes. Txt 0204200254

Engine just taken out of donor car today.
-
Yeah, sold the donor sedan, without engine. So have that and pieces as edited to quit.
-
Updated with correct pics.
-
Thanks for that. The sedan's plate was ' EMW123' too. One for the collection. Yeah, can't do much myself in the immediate future though with an unwanted health issue. Getting some professional help to 'transplant' the engine/auto to the e46Ti though, if no one takes the m54b330 engine that is.. Taking the sedan tomorrow for the 'extraction' appointment.

Have a new set of e30/RX7 Brackets and Discs machined for a budget orientated person wanting a 4-Pot brake conversion at the lowest price. The brackets have been made locally and discs bought in and machined locally. Have had the RX7 4-pot conversion done successfully on a race car and a road car for a fraction of the of the cost of importing or buying the expensive ones made available on the NZ market Note: the disc in the pics is an old used one for display purposes only, boxes were in pics were re-sealed after machining Have a complete e30/RX7 Kit-set on here and Trade Me at the moment too. $250 plus postage. Pick-up would be near Feilding. PM or Txt 0204200254 if interested

I can't readily find the 'UTube' clip of an e30/RX7 demo of before and after, showing improvement of the change. Wanted to see if tyres had been changed etc as the tyre rubber is very instrumental in the stopping/slowing distance too.

On one e30, I had, came with ET 30(?) weaves from another make(?} worked ok, from memory it didn't have the heat dissapation 'fins', they had probably been 'shaved' as there were no 'Mazda' either. A bit of prospective buyer beware and research needed.

I've had 15in BBS's.
-
Yeah, started off buying the bits for one, ended up with the bits & pieces for more than one! This is for one kit but have duplicates of most of the parts seen or mentioned (I only have one other RX7 caliper pair which could be made into a kit too, if someone is interested.) Have quite a few new machined discs, adaptor plates etc just ask. (I need to do an inventory I expect.) The pics show very much what you will get. The calipers have had new seals, new bolts, etc, the discs have been machined to fit the BMW e30 made and rebuilt by Engineers. Adaptors for brake lines and adaptor plates for the e30/RX7caliper I have had done locally. I have successfully used all the parts mentioned on two of my e30's- can't see them in pic but use of nordic washers is made for a fast brake pad change. The sample disc in pic is an old used one, showing surface rust, and the two new discs are in the resealed packaging which would come with the kit. Yeah, sold a couple of the e30's I had planned putting these kits into and have spare discs as they have been getting scarce to find and now with GST and shipping These are pretty expensive now to bring in. If there is anything I have missed happy for any replies. All I have done then is fit them to the two cars I have had done which was very much at the basic skill level which is one above the idiot level. Plenty of You Tube and e30sites to research the why and how. I found getting the RX7 calipers to be the most expensive part of the kit. Happy to sell off most of the bits needed (except for supplying the calipers and seal kits). On this site $650 plus shipping for the complete e30/RX7 Kit. For the bits with-out RX7 calipers & seals $300 plus shipping.

BMW e39 Front and Rear Leather Seats Pretty good condition pic of only blemish I can see $450 on here

Thanks for that. Yeah, Link software suggested plug gap issue. Settled on a reset to 35. now 1500-7000 rpm produces a nice linear curve now without any misfire. All is good now. Thanks to all for the posts good folk 'Rivers know this,' we all get there in the end.
-
No scan plug to use as such. Wiring through Link (for ITBs) so will have that soft-ware to plug into a computer etc though which I don't have. Figuring around something 'mechanical' has gone wrong'? Had an M42 once that was 'firing off all over the place', eventually was diagnosed woodruffe key on the front crank had shorn off. Yeah, another dyno session/diagnosis session next week hopeful will sort it?
-
Fitted ITB with Link all done on dyno. All good when on that. Going back to Dyno next week
-
Done that, pulls weii to 5500rpm then misfire.
-
When trying to go 'flat-out' with the m44 engine it has a misfire. Any suggestions as to why? Cheers
-
What about the 'vynl trim' ? I considered using lambs-wool sewn into as inserts to make it a 'kiwi car,' at the time, would've been a big saving. Not sure now though. Persuaded to stick to originality in the end.
-
Thanks for sharing that. Did you get front and back done?
-
Hope you have an open check-book. I don't think there is such an engine as a facelift one, any e30 year is just that a 1985 or 1991. I have, albeit, a seized m20b25 and, a rare for NZ, a forged steel 325 diesel crank in a block- will need to build it up but you would have one uniqu ' screamer' of a motor i.e over 8000rpm + if needed (regular m20b25 are made of inferior grey metal and start exploding after being revved over the7??? rpm. l have a 'seized m20b25 engine and a diesel crank m20b325d block' that I have collected too. $800 all up. Could arrange delivery to New Plymouth $60 If this is of interest could send pics. to you. Do your research as to what is possible with such a package. Have the old skool charm and look with a modern competive power performance. Over to you. Cheers
