  1. Ive smacked it a little and was able to start it once. Now it wont go again. I did find that this seems to be wet with oil.. not sure what it is. Looks like it goes to intake. Could this be the reason its not starting? Oil is shorting it? Edit: my car is a 90 318i with the m40b18 Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  2. What do you mean hitting it with a hammer? Literally just smack it? And no the lights dont dim at all. Il try the hammer trick and see what happens Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  3. Can anybody point me as to what could be the problem is when my car wont crank? Power is there as radio and head lights work. Tried jump starting and using another battery and still no go. Turn the key and nothing happens. I can hear a click when its put on the "on" but turning to "start" doesn't do anything. Is this a starter issue? Just happened suddenly and had to tow the car.. Could it be just a short? Thanks
  4. My current one seems stuffed as it doesnt seem to adjust anything. Does anyone have a spare lying around that they know is working? Its the sensor on the intake box with an air fuel mixture screw. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  5. Used the side cutters trick and bent the filter off and used it as leverage! Its off now. Thanks for the suggestions guys! I wouldve done the drill method if the cutters didnt work ( luckily they did). Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks will look at ezy outs tomorrow. I think a mate might have one.
  7. Hey guys, It looks like the screw on my tranny oil filter was a bit soft and it got munted.... I've attached some photos.. It's recessed into the filter so it's a little harder than normal. Any ideas how to get it out? Would i need a reverse bit? no other options?
  8. If you buy the resistor things, make sure to get one thats done properly that sets the seat as occupied rather than the other way around. So at least you still get the bag working. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  9. Have you had a look at the cheap JOM kits? Haven't tried them or anything but was considering them at some point before. http://www.bks-tuning.com/review/product/list/id/11610/ (out of stock at the moment it seems...)
  10. Thanks to Kendrick for organising this! Awesome person to deal with, should definitely do more group buys! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for the info jason. Will have a look and PM you
  12. Or am I better off just buying a top half for now (not a lot of tools yet) like this: http://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/online-store/products/Toolpro-Tool-Cabinet-26-4-Drawer-Top.aspx?pid=342815&menuFrom=70902#Cross Which i believe will be on sale as well though is not priced in the catalogue (possibly that's already the sale price).
  13. I've been looking for a toolbox for a little bit now but did not want to spend crazy amounts as I am just an enthusiast so did not make sense to spend $500 on just a toolbox but this one seems to be decent... http://catalogue.supercheapauto.co.nz/offer/tool-racks/stanley-133-piece-mechanics-tool-kit/4zw6ryj83.html Its on sale for half price at super cheap, has anyone tried this one or have a similar one? Is the build okay for home use? Worth the money? I know Stanley tools are decent so at least that's okay, just never tried the toolbox before. Any insight would be great.
  14. Where can I get red line? Is there an advantage using that if its more expensive on a DD car? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  15. What do people use for differential oil? any suggestions? Its for my 320i E30. Haven't bought one before and not sure what to buy. And what sort of pump do you use to put it in? anything sort of DIY as I don't want to spend money on a pump that I might not use that often.....
  16. Haven't updated this for a while but a few things that I will add to OP as well: New clutch, rear main seal, head gasket, rocker cover gasket, a few vacuum hoses, shift knob, leather shift boot and rear drum brake pistons (leaky old ones). Not a lot of photos as I always forget to take some.... Hopefully will have some when it is in better condition.
  17. I just kept adjusting it till it sounded right haha. Not too sure how to set timing at idle abd what to set it to... Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

  19. Hi Guys, The rubber on my e30 pedals have come off and was thinking of buying from ebay but would anyone have any suggestions of ones other than the standard ones from ebay? Is there any decent option? Would any pedal set work? Do they go on top of my current pedals? I guess they screw on? I was looking around and only saw these generic sets http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-M-Tech-ALUMINUM-Pedals-E30-E36-E46-E87-E90-E91-E92-E93-M3-MANUAL-Black-4PCS-/221173586614?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337ef91ab6&vxp=mtr Which are okay.... but just wondering if there are better options.
  20. Gave you a txt but didnt get a reply mate keen to see it this weekend. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  21. You might want to put a link to trademe
  22. Any photos? How much are you looking for as I don't know what those are worth?
  23. These will fit nicely with my springs from the other group buy! Does this mean that if we buy from local suppliers that they will pass on the savings? Cause I remember asking around before and they said they will have to order mine in if ever... (I assume not though...) How much would shipping be for a set of these? Cheaper with a group buy I assume? Last time i Asked around for some Koni Yellows for my E30 it was about 1100 + GST..... So I guess I save at the minimum GST. I'm probably interested depending on cash flow when you order.
  24. Thanks for the update! Pretty excited Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
