So just like I found out with my sister's Boxster S, number 8 wire doesn't work anymore!

Enough of these short cuts, Happy Birthday big guy, I used to wonder why everyone was saying "Hawkes Bay" to one particular person! Just call me thick I spose, or prematurely senile, which is more fun

Great production. I love Lewis' comment, "I'm not going out there to finish behind him, am I" (talking about Fernando). Very prophetic. Also, "when you're sliding backwards at 170 mph, it's kinda fun, until you realise you're about to hit the wall". Also, "No donuts", yeah right.

O'oh, just run out of handy towels! Not a "Carbon Neutral" event then?
-
Hang on, I don't believe you. It can't be Silverstone. There's blue sky and shadows.

Drooooool, would have to rate up there as a "must have". I remember seeing my first F40 (and possibly my only one?) at the Earls Court Motor Show in London in 1990. Just about creamed my pants as any red blooded 22 year old would!
-
Yep, I was perched in the back seat with my arm around the head rest for stability. Had to really hang on in the initial stages. That car has done a 10.9 standing quarter at Calder Park, Melbourne on road tyres!

, I'm sure Pam would be gutted to hear you say that Andrew.

Hmmmm, 325... black... manual... ex Gus...

But wait, your Triumph Herald may have an LSD. I always used to be able to get my Mum's one sideways 25 years ago.
-
The older I get, the better I was.

In avant body, manual of course. DSG is good, but nothing beats stirring the pot.

Oops, sorry, my bad.

Hi Again This is my mate, John Adamo’s heavily modified (read 700HP) Ford Typhoon from 30 – 230 km/h. All filmed on a closed road with professional supervision of course (cough, cough). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QX-iiDmFXw

Hi Guys Thanks to Ian Grainger and Audi NZ, Lance and I attended a great “Audi S Experience†day. This consisted of 14 lucky individuals who were permitted to drive each of the following Audi S models. S8 (5.2 V10), S6 (5.2 V10), S4 (4.2 V8), RS4 (Highly tuned 4.2 V8 manual, our favourite), S3 (2.0 turbo manual, second best), and TT’s (2.0 turbo and 3.2 V6). What a bloody fantastic day. Route went from Wainui to Kaukapakapa, up SH16 to turn off to Warkworth, over the hill to Warkworth, then Matakana, up Matakana Valley Rd to Wellsford and back down SH16. Each pair had about 10-15kms before swapping driver/codriver in the same car when the 10-15kms was repeated. We then changed cars and all was repeated till we'd all driven each car. Just waiting for BMW NZ to do the same one day. Bums on seats sells cars, and if I had a spare $150k, the RS4 would be parked in my driveway in a flash. The following links are to video clips on youtube. At no point did we exceed the 100km/h speed limit (cough, cough). The car we chase up the hill is a 3.2 TDI All Road. Very quick and surprisingly fast. Well driven by Simon from Audi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30YGWE2ceKU Going down the other side in very wet, slippery gravel. TC only activated once. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqfGszAUBBY Lance driving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p87PoWuLEPs Cheers, Jocko

Nah, he's just saying every car he has ever owned has been, black..... 325....... manual....... yawn...
-
Like I said. It's all in the marketing.
-
As we all know (or very quickly learn), a car is not worth the sum of its parts. That's where emotion and exclusivity come into it. As long as you can attract all potential buyers, that's where a $1 reserve auction works so well.If the Motorsport factory had built that car as a one off, who knows what it's value would be.
-
No worries Gus. I'd to break it anyway.
-
Cain, why on earth would I want a Holden? I barley put up with Ford's at the moment.Incidentaly, have been thrashing a Fiesta around the last couple of days while the Territory is in the shop. Most fun I've had in ages. The old maxum of "less is more". You can thrash the living sh*t out of it and rarely get above 50km/h (slight exageration), but fun anyways.

A lot of tyre squeal and oversteer. I think he could chop another 1/2 second off by keeping it tidy. Impressive all the same.
-
And not a scrap of paint exchanged. Just the way it should be. If I had a spare $ 1/4 mil, I'd locate that car and offer to buy it off the owner. Would I get it for that you reakon?
