Hi Velocity no doubt.I heard the Shed's suppliers hate them for late payment etc. Still seem to have good middle of the range stuff at fairly good $. Not worth it if you're looking for the higher end stuff that you guys sell.

Perception of BMWs and BMW drivers in New Zealand
StylesM5 replied to thefurriesthen's topic in General Discussion
BMW need to realsie that there are a lot of people out there who may not be in a position to buy a new car now, but in 10 years that may change. We have a long memory of good things and an investment now from BMW may pay off for them later. In other words GIVE US DRIVE DAYS TO THRASH YOUR NEW M5'S AND M3'S. -

My neighbour has a Mk III Cortina Ute in Black. It's kinda cool in a 70's way too.

Memorable moments 1. The Z4M coupe round the outside of the Cayman on the opening few corners. 2. The E30's!!! 3. The Audi 200T, yeeha old girl 4. Ditto when he pats it on the dashboard at the end of the lap. Haha.

OK, I've got heaps of MP3s on the tablet for an upcoming party, but just feel I could do with more. What's your suggested best "get em up dancing" songs. Bear in mind this is for the 40th. We've booked the band "Club Nerd" for the main show, but looking for stocking fillers. Cheers

Yeah, love his style. I recall him doing those mid way across the mountain chasing Brocky during the Bathurst races. He was generally moaning about the lack of handling/ lack of other people's driving skills/ shitty tyres etc. Should've been a pom. Always entertaining though, and never complaining about a lack of power. He was generally known as being able to build high output engines.

Agreed, I think we should embrace individualism (sh*t, that was a big word for this early in the day!)

laembo doors? Should be Lame Bro! I kinda like it, worth about $3.50 though.

Yep, hehe. Saw yours for sale and neeeeearly thought about buying it, then slapped myself. Funnest car though.A bit of history. Was my second car after the Hillman Imp (Cain and I share something other than friendship!). Had some great times. Bought it in '85 for $1600, was on LPG, loved a thrashing, that 1600 Twin Cam was bullet proof. Even had a spring washer go down the throat and ping around in No 2 cylinder. Found our which one by taking out the spark plugs and then just took off the sump, undid the big end, took out the piston, took it my mate with a linishing machine and smoothed it off (left bits of washer it in!) and threw it back in. Didn't even check to see if I'd bent valves. Started straight up and ran like a dream I then got a 1970 124 Sport and had the 125 parked on the road, rego expired and it got towed as an abandoned car. My mate next saw it in the next Demo Derby at Waikaraka Park. Haha. Bloody laugh, had so much fun that car, even did Napier in 4 1/4 hours once, Mt Wellington off ramp to Bay View turn off.
