    cool car man! hopefulyl check it out in the flesh next time I'm up seeing that little mongrel

    Thats me,

    THe Evobero is no longer, sold her last Sunday. Good bye and Good Riddance.

    BMW is where the future is at.

  2. Is this the techno violet one from Auckland with quite high Kays??

    The wheels are know as Style 5s,I think they are actually E39 wheels and have a 74mm outer dia and 72,4 mm inner dia.Keep an eye on them when changing roadsie punctures or going to the tire shop.Dont know what spare you have but if its a std e 34 wheel and a hubcentric ring is on the hub you wont get the std wheel on.If it is the Auckland one it sure lloks nice,testament to good maintenance.

    Haven driven one I cant see how anyone can think they are gutless.Try changing down to third on the motorway at 100 ks and flooring it!

    Yep This is her.. Got a 90 min check done by Jerry Clayton, she is mint. Relative comprssion is awesome, 5, 6 and 8 are down by only 1%

    I was saying with the Traction controll, it didnt seem to have much oopmh, ie, wasnt spinning the wheels at all... then i turned it off and yeah lol... plenty of guts. Though my old engine in my old car was pulling 200kw atw and weighed about half as much.

    On a closed track condition :ph34r: at 180kph in 4th, it was still pulling hard. Its scary.

  3. Very nice, loving those wheels!

    Thanks man, I dont intend to change em, Never seen a 17 with that much Dish before, Rears are 9", all i've seen in the Beryn Range at 9" was 18s.

    They were a Factory Extra at 4k, have the receipts for them :blink: Well Worth it.

  4. Yo! Anybody check out the show last night??

    "Blinded by the light" was some funny sh**

    First time to see a blind dude driving....

    Posted Image

    Crackertastic white boy stylez!!

    Top gear had a blind man go round their test track one season, i forget which one. Got around it in a smidgen under 2mins i think, faster than Wogan.

  5. Where would I go for a mechanical warranty and on average how much do they cost per year? Cheers

    Ask at any car sales yard - they'll point you in some direction. I heard its about $250-300 a year??

    The last three cars I've bought all came with 3 years mechanical warranty as a sweetener. I never needed them.

    NZ Consumer does not recommend these warranties at all.

    You should get ahold of one of the Contracts and read the fine print. What they cover is VERY little, and getting money out of them is like squeezing blood from a stone. For example, cam belt/chain failuure, not covered, in fact, any belt failing, not covered, so if you happen to have a car with a belt drive water/oil pump, no claim. And thats just the start.

  6. Some of you guys need to do some reading before you start trashing other Car brands;

    Im not saying im a Subaru fan, But it looks like you guys could do with some facts;

    http://www.ukintpress.com/engineoftheyear/winners/2_25.html

    Read that and have a little cry. BMW came in second.

    The reason subaru motors pop for all the little Kiddies is the Kiddies wind up the boost, and drive it like they stole it day in day out with power in excess of that the manufacturer intended. This clearly is not possible with a N/A BMW, however, i am to understand that Turboing BMW N/A Engines is not always a pretty affair? And i suspect that even a BMW Turbo Factory engine (With the exception of the M12/13) WOuld soon come to a short demise were you to wind the boost up and thrash it.
