    EU Directive 10.4.3 Part Deux

    The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

    As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

    In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

    In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.

    Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

    Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

    By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as

    replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

    During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.

    Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

    Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

    Hi Brent - do you have:

    1. e36 brake pedal switch (see this link for exact part http://www.bimmerzone.com/images/brakelightswitch.jpg )

    2. e36 coupe - centre cup holder unit (neat handbrake) - if so what colour is it?

    3. seat belt top mount covers

    4. seat tilt levers (the ones half way up the seat that are used to move the seat forward to allow people into the back)?

    5. screw in floor mat holders - 3 piece

    Cheers. I did the same also. I looked around for about a year before buying this one.

    From memory my mate from HB used to own your car....black cloth with pass airbag? Nice car.

    HB? used to have a UU1882 number plate or somthing like it before hand :-)

    The guy who set it up put up a thread on here a year or so ago under the pretense of being just a member who had stumbled across it. Funny how it was his first eve post though!

    There are twice as many cars on there now I see, but still not exactly busy.

    Saw it as a sponsored link whilst doing a google search on some BMW stuff - that must be all the ad spend though as I havent seen it elsewhere :huh:

    2 pipes of mild steel at pitstop = $80 incl labour and GST.

    I think the M3 size is slightly larger but it shouldn't be much more. I'd say do it as its cheap and very effective in terms of opening more HP. Car pulls a lot stronger at low revs and feels very very happy to go all the way to the redline.. much like a Honda. (*oops) :D

    I got my cats taken off last week at pitstop. :)

    The left exhaust is smaller than the right... WHY? it was about 5mm difference in diameter and the pitstop guy thought that it was pretty weird.

    Anyway, I couldn't be bothered with a reso and went with straight pipes. Sounds more mechanical and raspy but car feels more rev-happy and torquier at lower revs.

    How much were the replacement pipes for the E36? were these M3 size?

    Just wondering whether to replace my cats on my M3 :D

    Holy f**k when was I in Orewa? Has someone stolen my car?

    Edit: seriously: When P1 M3 made this post I was at work, and my car was in a secure lockup with cameras over every exit. Whoever went joy riding in my car and then wound back the speedo and filled the tank to the correct level is going down.

    Edit 2: Was I ridin durty?

    Thinking about it now it could have been in town, Ponsonby? Otherwise just ignore me as I seem to be suffering from short term memory loss :confused: :banghead: :)
