What radiators will fit a 318iA FL? Only FL auto radiators???

Bugger. The one I was after sold before I even got a chance to view. Guess it wasn't meant to be. We all know the story of how the dealers added the M Badge, what else, if not stated by the seller are tell-tail signs of an M-Spec'd 5er? What about the bumpers? Non-M have a detachable lip, M kit can be moulded like Brent's example? It's like learning to walk all over again... but more fun!

All speeding costs you say? Would all depend on the car of course!
-
Haha brill! I've seen many people sitting in there on their own. [Chillis and guns]. Just get pissed and take in some of the 2nd hand cannabis smoke, you'll have a blast singing along...

Ignition Switch: I'm wanting to see how easy this is first. Something along the lines of "Transpoter" - the movie, or I think the sports cars like Z3s have em' -- what do they actually do? Must the key be fully turned to the right then press button? Or both at the same time? Or key one click, then press button? Thanks.

EARTHQUAKE! That's extremely cool.
-
Where are you? Do you have everything else needed for a conversion?
-
Cash jobs FTW. Another place someone should check out is "Cheap Tyres", they have a spring compressing machine, I'm yet to use them.
-
That car has been on trademe forever! There is a reason no-one is touching it!
-
What year car, and what instrument cluster do you have? I'm not sure, but maybe that needs addressing?
-
It's hard to see why I shouldn't own one with what you guys have been telling me... I am a university student who lives in the suburbs and drives into the city daily, but the weather has changed so I will be ultilising my motorcycle license, but that doesn't matter, as uni isn't back til march next year! So I can sell this if the need arrises, or get a cheap E30 to take into uni. Can the M30s handle large kms? Surely if it has a mechanicla history itll be sweet ya? Im going to look at a 525iS on the weekend, will see what i come back with!!!!
-
Sounds similar to my E36 heh, damn autos always make me cringe when I look at the consumption gauge! Thanks for the input!

Helps heaps ya'll! I hate making uninformed decisions, so the more the better~! Kiwi: Sound like similar cars! Yours a manual? If you were start stopping for 100kms, how much gas in dollars would you spend? Any idea of what price yours would sell for now and say roughly in 6 months? Foxy: How do you find the M30s? Easy to work on, and rather strong? Anything likely to go wrong with them that should be done? Penry: Alpina's are hot! May get a set later on, but probably hit some 18's on them along with suspension if I go ahead with it. What improvements can be done relatitive to cost? Pod filter vs. panel filter. Exhausts etc... Thanks to all others, very appreciated!!! You all seem to stick by the 5ers, maybe I'll go to the dark side and not return :ninja:

Another point, when did the facelifts come into it, and what differences? I can only spot the grill?
-
Looking at an 535iS, and according to the web, it should have LSD and motorsport trim. Of which the car has leather sport seats, but owner reckons no LSD as they didn't come with any (only M535i) -- is he a n00b or am I? Vin: WBAHD12020BF00711

Com'on, be harder with me! Haha. There must be a reason other than size as to why the E36ers are selling for more than 5ers!
-
Gidday, What sort of mileage do you get per litre? That's my main concern along with insurance, which I can suss out myself. [Dam being a poor student]! I will be looking at a 535iS this coming weekend, anyone want one of two E36s???
-
I like the tyre paint, people are importing the tyre paint kits now into NZ, think the setup sells for $5k. I like the rim paint if it is a secondary colour, not the main colour. Such as, if a car had gold stripes, then some gold rims with black centres would look hot!

Yes, but the 2nd widowed lady would [presumably] have more finances than the 1st widow who took them to court, so who is really losing out? Yes death is a major cost of motorsport, but the passenger was [apparently, and we will never know], unaware of the oversteer issue factory to the Porsche, so the 1st widow did have a case. Surely if you could take a stab at $4.5mil you'd go for it?

 Ok, after posting, I came across many E34 love sites, so have plenty of car info. Just after some personal experiences now please, "what years to stick away from, current re-sale value, parts availablility, driving pleasure, any direct costs involved etc etc..."
-
I'm looking at some 5 series as they are quite cheap and large! Manual is a must, along with leather and manual as a bonus! Can some of you who have owned/own please pass some insight for me, a 3-series owner, on some pitfalls, things to look out for, years produced, what years to stick away from, current re-sale value, parts availablility, driving pleasure, any direct costs involved etc etc... I've got an eye on a 1989 535iS at the moment that's on TradeMe, but I'm in no rush and would like a car that doesn't need much done with a strong engine (this was has done 280kms) Many thanks, Jared.

Probably a replacement gear lever boot. I have NO idea why blue would appeal to anyone (unless they're colour-blind, inwhich it doesn't count). They got the greys [slate, black, white], red and to match red = blue?! I've got an E36 with blue, and it is vomit material.

These guys are the 4th & 5th people to die at the track within its 10 years of operation. To me, that's excessive with 1 death every 2 years on average. Since pre-cautions could of be taken but weren't, I think they have been fairly fined (But remember, they dollar figures are high, but would be pocket change to them, and we are talking about a widowed lady).
