Means you get another income in, whilst owning a home, and you pay the extra. Means people can own a home in Manurewa yet live in Ponsonby. Just another method of "investment". Not for me however.

I got a can of black heat paint (Hardware/paint store) + primer + sand paper of fine grit Then I preped by getting the shizz off with critrus spray to break down, then a wire cloth or rag or something on a battery gun to get it off. Just faster then straight sand paper. Then I cleaned with thinners, so I had a good clean surface, then primered (following instructions on can), then dry, wet sand, dry, primer again if needed, or first coat of paint (lightly), then second coat, (again, following can instructions). Then to get the embossed BMW and stripes up, sand (I used an orbital - a non circular sand better), of highish grit to remove paint (may pay to put masking tape on the dried paint to stop scratches), then a very high sand to remove any sandpaper marks and you should be done!

The guy is really laid back,tell him you'll give him $90 cash for a good pro job. Price can differ if you want it polished or not, perspex top or not, alloy bent or cut a welded etc etc etc

Could be a few things, and getting quite common. I had BM Workshop look at my 320i, took them 3 days of labour, several parts and a dent later. They had changed the dizzy, rotor, exhaust gasket, some air inflow things, plugs etc... I don't think it was a simple one fix, was more of a several things had gone wrong -- probably due to one thing with flow on effect.

If you don't know the part, see if you can remove the hose yourself and get an exact copy. Or, just give it a clean under the guards etc, and take back for a recheck? [if you think its still safe]

I have E30 rears which will fit, standard 6cyl ones. I'm in Auckland, no cost.

I have 3 TradeMe accounts. Before I went up to see the car, I was told it had a blown head gasket. Thus, putting up the wanted advert, title engine. However, this was not the case. The merc only needs a hose replaced that runs from the radiator to transmission as it has a leak. This my friend, is a bargain, and the only thing stopping me using it. I have had 3 seperate, 2 independant mechanics look at it for their opinions, all have said it is not the head gasket. You are more than welcome to look, drive for abit etc. E36 details are slim, I will take photos of it this coming weekend. Cheers.
