From my experience, mechanics of all kinds will jump to the conclusion of a vechile having a blown head gasket 85% of the time. I then capitalise on it and buy the cars, and do the little things, like replacing a radiator, or changing a hose, and the car works fine. Some mechanics will see the car overheating, and assume its overheating due to the cracked head gasket. What actually happens when you turn the key? Clicking? Nothing? Lights work?

He has bought them at $5 each from China. I have looked into this myself, but decided otherwise. Yeah they're still cheap for what you get I guess, but he has a large mark-up, so you could easily work him down!

It'll work, but is HUGELY overpriced.

Always get atleast 3 quotes, then hit the middle priced option. If you can get to Onehunga, maybe remove parts yourself etc, try out "Goldsmith Panel & Paint" -- did work on my subbie and two bimmers, I recommend there price, and workmanship is good. (Can be a little rough like not cleaning interior from paint dust, but nothing major to get out the air gun!)

Heh, it's not _that_ bad, like a buff would bring it up dramatically, just want to know what a good colour product is to try...

My car's paintwork is faded on the roof and boot quite badly, and has light scratches all over it. Not to mention a few chips in the bonnet from stones. Whats the best product(s) I should use to bring up the paint, cover scratches and 'colour-in' stone chips? And whats a good method to maintain the shine, cut and buff? 3-Step? Also, should this be done during overcast, indoors, or in any situation? Thanks in advance.

Just threw mine out last week, after no-one wanting it for a year! :-/

Drain at the plug on bottom of radiator, flush with water if not done in awhile, then refill, forget the ratio, distilled water + coolant, then run car with heater on full and push air out by squeezing pipes and refilling with coolant/water, then bleed with the screw til coolant starts to come out at the top by the thermostat.

Yeah I know, but wouldn't it be just as easy to use a sedan? Not to mention easier to get your hands on.

If I have to blank or plate or whatever, I just find a colour on the plate thats close to white, then "colour" in the plate with that colour. Any other graphic program should be able to pixelate by selecting the area though.
