Andrew what sort of abrasive cleaning products are you talking about ? Can you give me some names, so that i could go and purchase some. Would it be harmful to the demister though ? Thats the biggest worry i have about using powerfully cleaners like meths ...And yeah they are on the inside .. Would meths be damaging for the demisters ? if not i shall try that first ...

After reading one of the other threads i thought i better start another one to prevent me stealing the other thread. Is it really safe to water blast the engine bay ? If not what is the best way to clean and keep the engine bay clean ? Also i'm starting to get little swirls in my paint, what am i doing wrong ? how can i get rid of them(they aren't very noticable even under direct sun light)? Could it be something to do with only getting to clean it once a month(cause i don't have hose access at my house currently)? When i clean i: spray down my car with water rinse bucket and clean my sponges pour some mothers washing liquid in Soap up the car and then use different sponge+brush to scrub/clean my wheels spray down with water then i chaimos it dry What is the best way people find to clean the wheels, remove it and clean it? special stuff to put on and then spray clean ? water blast? air blast ? Oh and one last thing, i have got these hand prints or something on my rear windscreen ever since i have got the car, i've tried window cleaner, jif, chrome polish to remove it and i can't !!!!!!!!!!! it's not noticeble until the glass fogs up, it pisses my off !! Thats all i can think of about cleaning my car ... hah ..

You also need to make sure you keep it dust free ... It is true if you don't start you wont know how to use ... but sic is also right if you don't know how to use it it will ruin your paint ... i've seen it been done wrong . .hahah .. end result was quite funny ... When i went to BMW to enquire about buffers they strongly told me not to use one ... the said all their good groomers don't use them cause they have a tendancy to scratch the paint job if not done right ...

well because when i have been driving in the snow for the last week or so ... i'm not getting anywhere with traction control on .... the back makes this funny noise and the engine loses all power and the doesn't move at all ... until i turn traction control off ...

isn't it rather expensive to get it converted ? my friends levin xz(or zx) to convert from drum to BZ-R disc brakes was gonna cost around 1k and a bit ...

Those are the adrenaline look alike mags... they were a bit more expensive than the adrenalines when i brought it ... so i went el'cheapo and brought the adrenalines .. hahah I think the snowflake mode takes off traction control ... and the other button i have no idea as i didn't have one in my E36 ... ask Napier_E36 he might know .. maybe it's something that comes with jap imports ..

The mercs that we drove were dog's .... before we brought the 7 series we had a look at some mercs and the guy at merc gave us a couple brand new ones to take for the weekend ... and i don't feel they are as comfortable as the bmw's ... they don't corner as well either ... Overall i don't really like mercs ...

I think you should go to the dealers for the roundel ... cause i get one for the my E36 and it was only around $45 .. and they just fitted it for me for free ...

This is going to be really hard to answer i think .. .cause everything is going to be very subjective ... and you'd sort of need a very similar car of E30 and E36 and E46 to test it out ...... But i think it would be nice to know tho ...

You can just go to the dealers to get a set of M-tech front bumper... i regretted getting an after market on for my car cause with all the mucking aroung getting the after market bumper to fit it came to about the same price of a factory one ... when i got one quoted it was about 8 hundred odd dollars for everything from dealer + paint... where as it was 350 for bumper + 250 for carbon fiber splitter + all the mucking around + paint .....

Napier_E36 .. i think you should paint your skirts or something ... it gives it a lower appearance .. that what i did to my E36 ..

Last year i had my front passenger window smashed by a large peice of drain covering steel thingy ..... did lots of damage, there was lots of scratched and gauges done by the steel thingy ... and they grabbed my girlfriends handbag ... stole all the valuable stuff from the handbag and dumped it some where .. which was later picked up by some grandma and handed to the police station.... SCUMS !! the cost came up to more than 1K and i couldn't claim insurance because my excess was i believe around 3.5K ... and the car was parked down my driveway on a busy street between 5:30 and 7:00 ..... the only time that i didn't bother to close the garage gate ...!!!! But luckily for me they only did a smash and grab otherwise i would have been very pissed off if they made off with any of my stereo gear or damaged any of my stereo gear ... THEY SHOULD ALL JUST CRAWL INTO A HOLE AND BURY THEMSELVES ALIVE !
