  1. If you can before you buy talk to people that have owned the petrol and diesel version you are intrested in. To a large degree will also depend on the type of running you will be doing. Then do the maths comparing the cost of the petrol 95 or 98 to the diesel and RUC charges plus any other related maintenance costs. As mentioned look at the 6 cylinder engine they seem to have a slightly better track record than the fours. Drive as many as you can to get a feel of each type.

  2. One would hope so all to true  personnal joice does play a part in what one likes in a car. The fact that it has a manual box good but the wrong one according to the parts cat  sets off alarm bells for me based on my own 5 and half yrs owning a 5er. As for the k's would depend on how they were achived nice normal driving  ok thrashed  not so. Also any work carried out before 2012  still  interesting.

  3. A few details found from car jam and bmw fans.

    CK19560

    Listed as an automatic

    Assembled Feb 2003

    UK reg Mar 2003

    NZ reg 1 June 2007

    current plate gmd921 effective 4 sept 2012, MATUK up to 7/jun 2007, DZK354 up to 1/Jun 2007

The manual trans listing for it in BMW fans is a S5D 320z- THCH.

Have to say the colour looks nice the wheels do nothing for me has only manual adjust seats. The exhaust , suspension and what else has been changedor about to wear out if interested proceed with caution.

The five series cars took a big hit  price wise and with age catching up on them even a so called rare, limited number 150  in that colour. Its sixteen yrs old covered over 300,000k  about 18,750k's a yr  and a bmw.

As stated only a 220 fitted well below the level it should have. Wonder was the conversion done here in NZ or UK and by whom. Have to wonder also what the 25 thousand was spent on it from 2012 only 7yrs. No maybe not in the five and half yrs of owing a 530 I spent 14. Best of luck on who ever buys it

  5. Dig a bit deeper Richard its closer than you think houses built from plans in a factory by machines module style assembled and transported  to the site. Only connecting to services required and final touches all to speed up the process and keep the cost down, personnal comment yeah right can see the price coming down in a pigs eye!

  6. Must be that time again things have started to brake.

First  a phone call help flat tyre and sure as eggs the space saver turns out to be soft.

Next the drivers door won't lock with the key so the pull it apart and its toast lucky had some old bits hanging around

Not so much a repair but fitted an aux cable and connections fromthe radio to ash tray.

Have left the rear vent problem for now  a coffee is in order I feel.

  7. Have done this on a 2002 530. I opened the headlights up and swapped the xenon parts over to the orginal headlight casings as the ones the xenon were in where badly damaged. Bought second hand ballasts and at the same time swapped in the brighter angel eye bulbs. Had no coding to do and no faults appeared. Same would apply surely to a 330 if you have the complete xenon headlights all the easier. Their must be heaps of write ups on this surely Mr Google could help
