  1. Off topic maybe, but I have a Alpina front lip and Alpina wheels if you want to trick yours out. Was keeping for something but my projects are starting to get out of control so probably should sell. Pm me if you're interested. Cheers
  2. Think you may have confused me with someone else?
  3. Cheers for the heads up mate.
  4. ? Was imported to Wellington I believe and then owned for 9 years. Was parked up the last 2 as he didn't have time to drive it. Started off like this http://www.bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=1803 Now looks like this http://www.bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=11306 I'm suspecting its one of the rears but it has about 5 months WOF so haven't even got under it yet. I have a recepit for about $2k worth of ABS work in 2009 which included all new ABS rings so I'm hoping they just need a clean. Some days comes on (especially after reversing on start up), others it doesn't. Will get under it at some point. Would be keen to talk E28 at some point when I'm out that way. Tim
  5. Anyone know if this is still around? Plate not connected anymore though. http://www.bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=6419 Saw mine on TM and bought it within about 2 hours of listing. Did you know Dave Coopers car, seems well known? 86 M535i White Dogleg Leather Motorsport pin stripes for effect Body has been to the moon, but engine from a crate 70ks ago and gearbox rebuilt Has had a lot of work (money spent) on it re rust but still has some work to go. Toying up either buying parts (doors and guards) or just buying a whole parts car. Other than small amout of rust and the pesky ABS light intermittenly coming on, shes a beaut. I know you have the parts I need, will pop over at some stage however I may just by a car to replace all the better things I can from it.
  6. James? Maybe get him to email me. Bought an e28 m535i as a daily driver in a weak moment and have fallen in love with it. Like the idea of building from ground up starting with a shell.
  7. Potentially looking for a E12 for a project. Would prefer very very very cheap, non runner fine or even dereg'd. Hoping someone has one hidden away not being used on a farm and just wants it gone. Thanks PS: Any E12 M535i's in NZ? I've found one that was posted on the net years ago in Wellington but its not connected to the plate anymore. If one were forsale I might be keen too. Any help?
  8. Thanks, running on Castrol now. Yep give me a bell.
  9. Thanks, will run with the 10w 60 then. Cheers
  10. There is another couple in the range but I think I've discounted, 5w -30 and a 25w-50 mineral oil. I've done plenty of web surfing and there appears to be no definative for a M52 for racing. I was told the other day that with a older engine a 25w - 50 would be good but this is not synethic as I assume the car used all its life. Would go 10w-60 but I've read no where that its for a M52, only for M series cars. I guess I want the best lubrication I can get a a high temp, so I assume thats 10w - 60? Cheers
  11. Hi guys, Looking for some advice on what oil would suit a 328i which is going to a track hack/ race car solely. Going Castrol range and although its recommended as 10w40 (magnatec), i'm wonder whether this is high performance or not and would rather go the Edge range, however there is no 10w40 only the following; 0w40 10w60 Thoughts? Cheers
  12. Just to clarify, at this price it is non rolling. I am prepared however to leave the rolling parts if required, however we'd need to discuss the further cost, as M3 front and rear end mechanical parts have a reasonable value. Cheers
  13. Looking for expressions of interest on a 94 M3 (LH) body shell in Yellow. Ideal for building a race car from the ground up. The car was involved in an accident and written off as the repair bill was massive. There is no damage to the chassis at all, in fact the impact was above the bumper (hence rails). The only damage to the shell is a fold under the airfilter box that I can see which could be easily beaten out. Looking for $1k picked up, however will accept offers. The car is currently running with an engine I intend to use in it, so if you're after this we could look to complete sale in a month. Send me a PM for details.
  14. Forsale as topic notes. Below are links and prices S50B30 Engine Conversion - $3850 ZF Gearbox - $750 I've owned and driven quite a few E36 M3's now, the condition of this car even at 345ks is outstanding. The gearbox feels great (probably the best 5 speed ZF I've driven), and engine appears to be good too, however the clutch is poked and it probably needs a good tune. Send me a PM with questions. Thanks Tim
  15. Hi Brent, its probably a bit nice for me and you probably need more than its worth to me to be fair. Kind of after the whole lot. The other option I have is a full set on TM for $600-$695. Send me a PM if you are keen to get rid for a silly price. Tim
  16. Looking for a performance exhaust with twin pipes for a 328i race/road car. Based in auckland. Send me a pm if you've got one forsale.
  17. Still got the 328i engine conversion, happy to talk price as I need it moved. Thanks
  18. Yep on the Shore. I've got a M50B20 (vanos) intake from a 320i which now that I've removed appears to have significantly smaller "vains" that the M50B25 (non vanos) I have sitting next to it. Should have measured first. The ports and throttle wholes are the same sizes just the pipes/ vains to the engine. Anyone else done this and what model/ part number did you use? Obviously makes sense to use the bigger one, just didn't realise that the b20 had a smaller intake the b25, thought it was defined via M50 and M52, appears not.
  19. Hey guys, Whats the part number I need for this for my M52. I pulled off a M50B20 version and realised its smaller than the M50B25. I'd like to off part numbers. Thanks
  20. Bump M50B20 now available from 94 320i.
  21. Cools thanks. Will start with this for the clutch and see how it goes before changing the master. In regards to the brakes, I'm wondering whether I've stretched the hoses with all the movement around when I changed the engine and this has put extra travel in the brake booster, wearing the seals? Its makes a whoos sound really badly before going away when the brakes are back working ok. Will change the hoses, bleed up and then look to change the brake booster if still not ok.
