  1. Well why are you "cutting corners" by reseting the light by yourself?

    :P

    Ha ha.

I actually did the required work on the car to warrant the service light being reset! Jeff Grey use the same tool so I think I should be ok sticking it in the correct hole. Never had a problem in the past B)

  2. Theres normaly a few on Tardme

Ive been keeping an eye out lately but there does not seem to be any listed. I have seen them on there before thou.

There are these ones: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-213711577.htm But not really what im after.

Theyre reasonably priced in the UK. About 15 Pound + shipping so I might look at ordering one from there. Maybe a bulk bimmersport order???

  3. Just use a paper clip bro.

lol I guess I asked for that. Cheers Max :)

Or some wire with bullet connectors and a fuse in the middle

Nah, still too dodgy for me. Would rather spend $60 on the proper tool rather than thousands on a fried computer. I have a good paying job, and dont see the need to cut corners :)

  4. Hi All,

As the title says. Im after a service light reset tool thats going to work on an E36. Preferably after the Draper brand one as its an all in one unit without any cords or cables plus ive used it before and found it extreamly easy to use.

And before some says "just use a paper clip bro" im not a monkey and would like to do it properly!

    Pic attached

    Cheers

  5. Cool Site.

The designers section is interesting. Started reading about the E30 designer, Claus Luthe who withdrew from working at BMW in 1990 after a family tragedy. After doing a bit of digging I found out he was jailed for killing his druggie son by inflicting multiple stab wounds!!!

No wonder all you E30 drivers are mad lol

  6. legend!!! thanks heaps man! ill definatly take a look!

    No worries mate.

I reckon go for the white 318 as its a manual plus being an auction you could get it under 3k!

I always reckon its a bit pointless having "the ultimate driving machine" in an auto ;)

Itll still go well enough plus when you need that extra boost you can just jump back in the Batty

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

  7. im hoping under 3k if im lucky!

How about this? 318i Manual, no doubt NZ New and within your budget. Up for auction at turners in Wellington next Monday night.

Needs a door trim and those ugly bumpers and side skirts colour coded but you cant be too fussy with your budget :D

    or

325i Auto, NZ New, Leather. Slightly over your budget but im sure you could "beat them down" Wellington based.

  8. Interesting, I was not aware that 330i's were made in 2000.

I have 2000 328i Manual in red with black leather and body kit with 112k on it.

I looked at an M3 e46 at the Lower Hutt branch of the same yard, they offered me 10k! as a trade on it.

Youre not planning on selling you E46 soon are you Hartage?
