  1. Alright bmw lovers, I've decided to sell my engine as I'm going with something different. so specs

    -M50b25TU

    -brand new plugs (not fitted yet)

    -brand new alt. belt

    -has pretty much ever thing, apart from aircon pump

    -has stainless turbo manifold with waste gate port (can throw in wastegate for extra)

    -m20 fly wheel shaved down and resurfaced with m20 starter motor to match

    -M20 H/D stage 2 clutch (brand new)

    -Getrag 240 gearbox

    -engine loom and ecu

    -m50 engine mount arms with engine mount bushes

    -e34 oil pan (new gasket, have e36 sump as well still with oil pick up)

    -New gearbox bushes

    have probs missed a few thing, just ask if you want to know anything.

    not sure of km for engine or gearbox

    looking for $2g have spend at least $3g getting everything for it, this is really cheap for a e30 conversion, only really need the gearbox drive shaft and AFM

  2. I'm doing my m50 swap into my e30 and have just gotten the engine and box in for a test run, and my current drive shaft is to long, I know I need a e36 325i driveshaft but I want to know length between the models or if there is another method as to which I can use mine.

    I'm running a m50b25 vanos with a getrag240 gearbox and a medium case LSD diff

    Really want this thing going already...


  3. I'm after a new set of front control arms or with the middle ball joint and lower ball joint for a e30 318i both sides, or what are some other models I could use?, I've heard e36 and e46(with mods)

    I'm also after a set of of outter tie rods. can you point me in the right direction to get them. I have also been thinking using a e36 outter tie rod for more lock is this possible.

  4. ok so I've got the tensioner, but I don't have the bolts for them... What size bolts do I need? and when I turn the tensioner a hole lines up on the block I think cant remember (will get a pic up) but what goes there to stop the belt from hitting the alternator tensioner. Help!!!

Hey guys, so as I'm slowly building my car up for my m50 conversion I have just found out that my front struts are pretty much buggered, (little story) the guy that had the car before decide it would be a great idea to cut the front spring and put king spring in the back. the result of the cut spring, my shocks are (how do I put this nicely) F***ed and the top hat is bent to sh**, so now I have taken the sturts out and having my local suspension expert Dave at TSV build me a set of coilovers for the front at a great price, and while taking the struts out of this 23yr old car I busted my tie rod ends and lower ball joint.

    anyway onto what I want to know: What upgrade can I do to get more steering angle? Eg rack spacers? How do I put them in? or use another models tie rods ends e46?

    And to replace the lower ball joint the on the front control arm or wish bone arm should I just take that of and let Dave push a new ball joint in or is it easy to do? what tools will I need?

    to conclude what I'm getting at is I WANT MORE STEERING ANGLE!!!!!

    I wanna start learning how to drift once I have my car going and I'm trying to do it right the first time, I'll be running 15x8 for street and I want to find a set of 16x8 for drifting.

  6. Hey guys I"ve just gone out and brought a new belt because my engine didnt come with one, anyway I went to put it on and I think I might be missing a tensioner, this what it looks like Posted Image

    It looks like its meant to go to either another tensioner (how much? where from from?) or the aircon pump (dont want one)

    Please help me out.
