e34 1991 525, m50 engine overheated, jatco trans o/hauled by previous owner. diff out, few body panels missing/damaged.interior in good nick. reserve is met at $130 on trademe, surely someone wants a stupidly cheap parts car http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=119673926

after a diff for my 535, 3.46 or 3.9 maybe?? wanting it cheap and in chch area I have a medium case lock diff if someone wants to swap. 027 696 2778

I'm pretty sure its a medium case?? has 6 bolts around half shaft flanges.. 3.91 ratio, out of a 91 525 has been welded up, new oil.. was going to use it in my car but i need a large case..Doh keen on swap for a large case or make an offer, wanting over $100.. i'm in chch 027 696 2778

1991 auto 525 twin cam. engine overheated,top end missing,block should be fine,has new water pump. a few bits have been robbed from it already, but is mostly complete.still moveable supposedly the box has had alot of work done to it although i cannot get receipts from previous owner, it does look like the box has been out of the car recently though. only numbers i can find on the box are jatco corp GB000HW 1201503C rego is dead so would only really suit parts or race car dark grey cloth interior, pretty tidy grey exterior,panels very straight, bumpers a bit faded. has 15" alloys with decent tyres on back has done 190k open to offers, would like $300 but will take what i can get for it. just let me know what you would pay. cannot split, please take the whole thing I'm in chch 027 696 2778 cheers

I'm pretty sure its a jap import. it is m50 the only numbers i could find on the trans are: jatco corp GB000HW 1201503C i'm not splitting the car though, don't have the tools or time

wanting to up the exhaust note a little on the 535.. not wanting it to be loud, just want a bit more of a growl from the big six.. and i mean just a liitle louder than standard. test drove bezzals 535 which had an aftermarket rear muffler, sounded quite grunty but a tad too loud for me, don't want to attract to much attention.. i like the look of the standard twin pipe so don't really want to change that, could i remove the centre muffler and replace it with something else?? the 535 has a twin pipe setup from head to toe. i don't know jack about mufflers really so what have you guys done? we have numerous welders at our flat so i'd be doing a home job.. fun

here is a link to the bypass valve i got from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bosch-Turbo...1QQcmdZViewItem inlet size is 20mm, the piston then steps up to 42mm-thats just the part thats under vacum. outlet is 20mm aswell i liked the idea of this over a blow off valve because a BOV only opens when you abruptly close the throttle body, i think you can modify the spring on a BOV so that it works like the porsche unit but its easier to just buy the porsche one.. the porsche unit stays open at idle and steady throttle,cruising on the open road, and when you close the throttle. ie more pressure in the piping than the inlet manifold which pushes from the bottom and and sucks the piston from the top to an open position It closes when you sart to put your foot down, ie when there is positive pressure in the inlet manifold pushing down on the piston. I'm bad at explaining things but you should be able to get my drift

yep, kinda pointless uppung the power when you can't put it to the ground. bids are past what i could affdord for your car so best option is to track down an lsd.. would have loved to use your car as a daily bash around while my car goes under the knife.it was so much more fun to drive haha

dammit, so keen... just bough a hifi amp though.. dammit dammit dammit!! need lsd, spare boxand engine,leather int and would love that front spoiler. someone buy it for me and i'll buy it off you in a couple of months!!! pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease

I spoke to a chap in chch who does super chips, quoted me around $1000 for a tune specific to my car, pretty sure he chucks it on the dyno and tunes it to its best, he said last time he did a m30 engine he got an extra 18hp out of it.. so i imagine it'd be quite possible to get 20hp from your e38. but I would definately get a diagnostic test if it's performing that badly.

that is quite the cheap. managed to get a set from ebay though $58 landed..nt sure if they are genuine or not, have to wait till they arrive.

well don't really want to have to plumb up the water etc, and fit the extra radiator and get a pump,not my idea of simple, maybe for some it is but for me putting in small front mount seems simple... still going to need a fair few joiners with water to air setup..but yeah def more with a front mount. most water to air setups look like bird sh*t on a balck shoe aswell

yeah myte go ask the boys down there, pretty sweet having them across the road from work. they must be sick of me by now. have temporarily made some out of silver cardboard!! i should be hung. still looks better than a gaping hole though are the acs caps alluminium or plastic??
