hmm yes, i'm a little tempted myself but at the end of the day if i'm going to splash out thousands on a classic car i'd rather have something "genuine".. granted Guido would have done a flawless job and in reallity you would never tell the difference between that and a genuine m5 but it would still be in the back of my mind haunting me..knowing that it's not original. but it is cheap

rowanhol replied to rowanhol's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
finally checked the load rating, has 94v stamped on the tyre. will try upping the pressure and maybe getting another wheel alignment so i can see what the geometry is like. who would you reccomend in the chch area? -
Hi Adrianyeah i think so, i'll just have to live with auto. they seem to be great value for how much car you get. i'm paranoid about the auto giving me greif though..we shall just have to see. your 540 is definately one of the nicer models i've seen for the money, the white looks good, the white sills and lower section of bumpers really pulls it off. going to put the blue 535 on trademe soon, have to put up with all the "interesting" comments/questions though, oh well you had much interest in yours?

yes a city turbo 11 would be gold..got to love the wide body kit. honda's just seem to be the pinacle of rice rockets, and most of the people who own them tend to undertake the most ridiculous mod's. I don't like to admit it but one did beat me at dyno day, 169hp vs honda 172hp..in a car that weighs 2/3 of mine, that would be rather quick, must have been a type R...well thats what i claim anyway haha

Gus, Are you impyling the forum should be changed to hondasport?? imagine the posts we would get then 1.my grandmas stockings are so much better than my standard air filter,i can hear the raw intake power 2.my 20 profile tyres on 14" rims are sooo dope, for some reason my car now does 7000rpm at 100kmh though?? 3.ive put a massive wing on the back of my car but i still don't get any traction?? i can see it now

you guys should have seen the article in mountain biking uk a month or two back, can't remember who the rider was, maybe Martin ashton or someone, hmm. anyways brutal trials riding on cliff tops, like mental trials riding on mental cliff tops, possibly in scotland. should try and find the article on the net but my hunting skills are limited for those that arn't familiar with trials riding it looks like this this one is the best i tried it once...

e34 camber caster kit+bilstein hd's
rowanhol replied to rowanhol's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
even with the potenzas it was much the same and they are a fair bit better than what i'm running now.. may try upping the tyre pressures, so do you run more in the rear than front or keep them the same? been doing a little research and it seems that many people overseas find the e28's and e34's understeer, the best fix seems to be a thicker rear swaybar and more negative camber up front, aswell as decent shocks and springs. -
just noticed this, would be worth checking out if your car is coupe, theres also some grey interior on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-147232970.htm

rowanhol replied to rowanhol's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
yeah i was thinking if i put the bilsteins in i'll get new springs, it's just thet e34's sit so high standard, especially in the front, so would like to go superlows if possible -

not sure on camber/caster at the monent, cannot find the wheel alignment sheet running bridgestone sports tourer my-01 all round at the moment running 36psi to try and slow outside wear had them at 32 and 34 and still handles much the same -
hey guys my e34 535 is suffering from understeer quite badly, always has even with the 17" schnitzers and new bridgestone tyres it's pretty average and has a bit of wear on the outside edge of the front tyres, same as with the 15's. have had wheel alignment done but no different. the car is pretty low and front springs are coil binding a bit. i just picked up a set of bilstein hd's from a wrecker and was thinking they would make a bit of difference, rears have aftermarket springs so not sure how low they will make the car sit compared to what i have now.. i was also thinking of adding one of these kits, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRONT-CAMBE...tem230236193365 surely some more negative camber and a bit more caster will help reduce understeer, what do you think? any other kits worth looking at? and how low can i go with my hd's? ive heard you should use the sport struts if lowereing more than an inch, but will the hd's cope with superlow springs or will they have bugger all travel? cheers

anyone in wellington able to inspect a car for me?
rowanhol replied to rowanhol's topic in General Discussion
yeah that would be great, no hurry as i've yet to sell my car. i'm concerned about the radiator leak, hopefully hasnt overheated or blown a head gasket, condition of the gearbox, rattly timing chain, disc rotor wear, no rust, tidy paintwork and nice looking interior, and how it feels down the road of corse.just after a car with potential for future mods so need a good one. thanks Rowan
