Laurence, With the yen down 30% in the last few months I think you're going to struggle to land them for anything under $30k. I think $45k for a nice one is still the price to be paid. If you're looking at a nice one in the states for USD$20k you're looking at about NZD$45k landed and registered. Mine will be up for sale in the next little while, looking for something horizontally opposed and six cylinder with a few turbos

I bought an E30 because it was a dream car of mine, I can't say I would consider an E46 a dream car. It wouldn't even cross my mind to daily drive it though. I see E36, E46 and E9* every day of the week, can't say the same about an E30. If it's a second car (which it is), I would rather not have such a swiftly depreciating asset.

Hmm.. I got flashed in Germany a few months ago in Hybrid's lease car registered in France, that ticket never showed up either.. Maybe I look like Animal??

Hey guys, Just after some advice on where to take an E30 speedo for repairs. It stops working when you get to 70km/hr and drops to 0. We have had it out and one of the resisters looks a bit buggered, not sure if this is the only issue though. Is there anywhere in Auckland that someone can recommend? I know there is a place in Newton Gully that I will take it to if there are no other recommendations. Cheers

Hey Mate, All E30 M3's were originally LHD from the factory (please, nobody mention *that* one). Some have been converted by various places around the world. I have a US Spec one that was converted to RHD in NZ. Cheers

You will find the tires are an almost exact replacement for stock rolling diameter. If he was to go up a profile size it would be about 4% oversize, which doesn't look good, rubs, and messes with the ABS. If you'd seen the car in real life, I don't think you would be commenting on the tire sizes
