    Hi Rich,

I'm running my BMWRDS E30 in Leadfoot over the 3 days, have swapped in an LSD for the event..

    See you there.

  4. Did this route a few weeks back.... Invers to Queenstown via that route is quite fun.

You all should have entered Targa South Island (where the best roads in the world are hidden)..

Caitlins Stage was 45km the most superb high-speed road in NZ, straights, banked corners, valleys, hills.. awesome !

Combine The Utimate Driving Machine and The Ultimate Road Race; enter the next Targa Tour in your BMW and have 160kph limit and use of both sides of the road :)

  5. I'm with Swann but it's classic car insurance. Includes $20K agreed cover, track day cover, OE glass cover, roadside recovery and unlimited kms. Just had to show that it is not a daily driver and is garaged. I pay $300 fully comp on a V12 but I am 40.

+1 same same.. $305 for $15k agreed cover, incl track day......

  6. I won the auction for this so, rest assured, it's going to a good home. I doubt the car is actually fixable, though. I have a nice poverty-spec E30 316i coupe in my backyard just waiting for a good M42. I was planning to drop in an E36 M42 but this E30 setup came along so I just had to buy it.

The plan is to build a lightweight toy for autocross, track, and street use.

I'm keen to learn more details about this car and the engine in particular. It looks like this car is pretty well known here on bimmersport so please chime in with what you know. I'd appreciate it!

I suppose that after dropping this motor into my 316i, I may have to upgrade the giant clock in the instrument cluster to a faster one. Can M3 clocks be retrofitted?

Keen on the LSD if you don't need it.. need 3.9 or 4.1 small case for Targa..

  7. Gidday guys, hoping someone can help, any ideas on where I can purchase pads and lines in NZ before the weekend? Or even better if you have some on the shelf or in the shed, I haven't managed to find anyone on web or TM, 93 325i, any help appreciated.

check out this seller's listings on TradeMe : http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/other-accessories/auction-757047397.htm

Has quite a selection of E36 parts available at give away prices..

  8. I tried a couple of decode sources but don't get more info than the car being a RHD, 4-door, E46 320i, produced in April 2004. Basic stuff, and doesn't answer the 'big' question.

As Paul suggests, I suspect the only answer is going to be to ask a BMW dealer

    Thanks, will do
