  1. Hi All,

Was trying to refrain from posting until car is finished but I'm stuck..

Long story short - Facelift E30 320i with series 5 13b Turbo rotary, Microtech LTX-8 ECU.

I connected the tacho wire from the ECU to the tacho signal pin on the C101 so the tacho reads but its about 500 rpm out at idle (have had it plugged into laptop and seen the digital reading from the ECU) on microtech software.

My theory: If i changed the instrument cluster/tacho/whatever to a 4 cyl unit will that solve my problem? The 13b has 4 coils, so technically the tach would think it was 4 cyl? right or wrong?
Would be helpful as the odometer gears in my current dash are flogged anyway..

I would love to keep the stock tacho so as to keep the interior as original in appearance as possible, I really dont want to mount a big ugly tacho on the dash etc..

    Thanks in advance..

  2. Do your research before making dumb threads. You need a manual pedalbox to make this work. Just like almost every other car in the world. They are hard to come by on their own and are worth more than the shitty springs you put in the rear of your car. Keep saving and stop taking shortcuts.

  3. remove the ridiculous towbar and it'd be a decent looking car

The towbar prevents the car from slamming into the ground over bumps and smashing the body - hes not entirely a neanderthal...

Looks dope though, should enter in 4 and rota nats - try pick up some trophies or some bitches

  4. Couldnt find the gearbox section so here we go! Mods can move this if Im being stupid..

I dont know if what Im asking for exists..
I am in the process of putting a different gearbox in my E30, currently I have the old gearbox crossmember (from an auto) which I had planned to modify and mate up to the new box. The tricky part here is that now that Ive fitted the engine and box the new gearbox is significantly shortly and lines up with the front set of "tracks" on the body.. The existing crossmember fits only the rear-most set of "tracks" on the body.
If anyone has come up against this or knows of a crossmember that fits the front tracks Id be thankful, it will save alot of time and cutting/pasting! It only has to fit the E30 body and line up in the centre of the tunnel, the rest is going to be cut out and made to fit the new gearbox.

    Thanks in anticipation.

  5. Hi guys,

Looking for some slave labour parts - as above, manual steering rack and necessary parts to convert to manual steering. Also, a manual pedal box for E30.

Can pay in favours, cash, beers or a combination of the above.
Also need to find a gearbox crossmember that fits the front set of tracks on the E30 - the current one from the old auto box only fits the rearward tracks..? If Im being vague please tell me...

    Cheers!
