    Recently brought me a E30, loving every moment im in it. only one thing thats nagging me, the valve chatter im getting(well at least i think its that).

    The video dose not it justice, its alot more noticeable actually being in the car.

    i done a bit of research and found out its pretty common to get valve noise in E30's but want another opinion on it to put my mind at ease.

    Im planing to do a check/adjustment on the valve clearances this coming weekend in hope to rid the noise

    Car specs 89 320i E30, 325i engine, M52b28 crankshaft now 2.8L

    Tickatickatickatickaticka Its a sound you get used to until you drive next to a center barrier and it sounds 5x worse than it actually is.

    give em an adjust when its dead cold.

    That sounds like a horrible time dude,

    I feel ya on this one..

    Hey dudes/dudettes

    Bought this deregistered and well away from wof standard just before xmas,

    It sat over the xmas break until I cracked into it about 3 months ago.

    Pretty much everything needed replacing.. And it decided to snap a rocker arm as I went to get it some gas.

    So after 3 months of new and barely used parts Its legal and with 6months Reg.

    Quick list of what its had replaced / Good points:

    Cambelt + Tensioner

    Waterpump

    Thermostat

    Shocks all round

    Full Fluids and Filters ( Coolant, Diff Oil, Gearbox, Engine.. Twice hah )

    Bulbs all round

    A Thorough Clean

    14'' Weaves with good tyres

    Rust Free Sunroof

    Painted all the trims, grills etc

    Driveshaft Guibo + New Bolts

    Center hanger Bearing

    3.64 Open Diff

    New Battery

    Blacked out Grill

    LR Wheel Bearing

    Inner and Outer Ball Joints

    Radiator Hose

    Wheel alignment

    Superlows

    Head Work:

    Crack Test

    Cut and Seated Valves

    Faced Valves?.. ( Literally reading off the receipt here )

    Acid Dip

    New Valve Guides

    Surfaced

    Phew, So now the bad points:

    Paint is a bit scratched up Mainly the boot and bonnet

    Sunroof is Blue =/

    So anyway, Its a heap of fun and goes a lot harder than I would have ever expected.

    also comes with a log book with a record of fuel ups and $2000 worth of repairs from a previous owner

    After $4500 Ono

    Where are you bro?

    Mine is almost for sale just touching up a few things then its going on the market

    87 325i sedan lowered on 14" weaves

    Recomplied it two days ago so brand new wof and 6months reg

    Reciets/log book for about $3000 spent incl freshening up the head etc.

    Previous owner kept a record of every fuel up/service and any maintinence/repairs which is another

    $4500ish over 6-7 years.

    Bought the wrong waterpump a few weeks ago,

    Ill never own a FL so its for saleh cheap

    $70 and ill courier it for free.

    Also have a brand new ABS front Wheel Bearing for $90 ( dont go to vinz they fail you on sh*t that isnt broken.. )

    Took my Car in for compliance, Failed on a some missing bolts from the driveshaft, the guibo, a bulged brake hose and the LF wheel bearing

    Paul at Milland hooked me up,

    Decided im not gona change the wheel bearing as its fine

    So hopefully the rest will be done this afternoon

    Dont go to VINZ theyre lazy as
