Can you order Genuine BBS wheels through you?
Yes we can get them, cheers.
-
But yeah not having much luck finding a set of wheels in 16" as i reckon 15" would look to small on my car
The wheels you linked to are 15" ?
Heaps of guys on here are running 15's and they look very cool especially in the 8"

At a guesstimate I would say around $4500 - $5000. We had a customer who bought in a set of 20" CH-R's and they were $5500.
Don't forget if you are going to bring them in yourself you wil have to add GST to the purchas price.

Just buy a set of our RS reps

Hi everyone
We have a whole lot of end of line and clearance specials on wheels. I will endeavour to get photos up and they will be listed on Trade Me as well. Please do not ask for any other sizes or fitments as what I post up is what we have.
First of all is an Alpina style wheel 17x7.5 5x120 ET38, suitable for E36, E46 or E30 with 5 stud conversion.
Only $595 for the set

A faultless late one I might add.
is there such a thing?

On a SUV what kind of money are they charging aprox? I'm prepared to do it myself to save money but if it's going to be a reasonable price I may consider it. Cheers.
It really depends on the vehicle and whether or not it is VAT qualifying. I don't know all the ins and outs but I am pretty sure you can only claim the VAT back if you are a registered English company. He also uses a roll on roll off freight company that has its own drivers on the boat (so the monkeys here don't thrash them) and specialises in shipping prestige vehicles. Would you want your new vehicle put in a container that MAY get crashed around?
BTW: congrats on number 2, my 2nd is now 3 months old. You forget how much sleep you lose!

That sounds amazing! What did they do for $40? Recurb and powdercoat?
I think you will find that price is the stripping only. Painting is generally around $400 a set, cheers.

Sorry to drag this up yet AGAIN!
Has anyone used AutoHub successfully? I'm kinda car less at the moment and wouldn't mind importing an X5 or 335d over.
give me a call if you like, a mate of mine has set up his own company. he has just come back from 10 years in the UK and has great relationships with the franchises over there. There is a lot of Sh*t vehicles over there too so you need to be very very careful.

I was just thinking the same about the boot lid...
If you lift the bootlid up and look at just the rear it looks remarkably similar to a Porsche.

I have 2 Toyo Teo + as new for $125 each fitted and balanced

Maaate, you're dreaming!
I see an E46 Fender Flare Job at the least.
What tyres to you think you'd run in them??
Stretched ass 235/255 combo
EDIT: Look up Vorslag, they have done numerous tyre/wheel fitment testing on the E36.
IIRC 18x10 et43 with 265/35's can be squeezed on an E36 with a fender roll/pull and the right combo of alignment specs
This^
I have 9.5 ET20 on mine no problemo. With a 225/35
What wheels are we talking about?
yeah but the above wheels are going to sit another 20mm further in and 6 mm further out. And good luck trying to stretch a tyre on. We just put a 245/30R20 on a 10" wide rim and I reckon as soon as he drove around a corner it would roll off the bead!
-
I'd love to be able to justify Michelin Pilot Sports, but I just don't get to do the sort of driving often enough that would need tyres of that ability. No Proxe 4s in New Zealand until July apparently if anyone else was interested, blame the Ports of Auckland dispute and the Japanese Earthquake. Have a couple of Toyo T1 Sports on order for next week at $290 each, probably a bit stickier and won't last as long I suppose
Great choice in tyre and exactly what I was going to recommend. They tick all the boxes, great performance, quiet, and they wear well

sorry SOLD.

Ive never damaged a wheel nut with a rattle gun
and every gun ive used i wouldnt trust the torque settings on
Lol who uses a torque wrench on wheel nuts?
We do on EVERY car. If the torque wrench is not used, my staff get a friendly reminder. If it happens again I issue a warning - yes, I take it that seriously.
the last two tyres places i have used torque the nuts with a torque wrench after a quick brrrp with the gun.and they use a star type patten.
We use a gun to do up the nuts as it saves time but it is always set to the lowest torque setting. Then we use the torque wrench to do the nuts/studs up poperly.
You can NEVER trust a rattle gun.

e39 540i rough running / idling
in Maintenance

I have a very similar issue with the 735 E38 here. It is idling very rough when cold. Our scanner shows the 02 sensor as being the main culprit. We have switched them from side to side and are going to see what happens. I will scan it again in the morning and see what shows.
