I agree re making th emould is most of the cost. We were looking at getting moulds made for PU kits until we got quoted the price - $50K US per vehicle!!
-
point made & taken, 'nuff said, lets move on
-
My point was the way you come across - extremely abrasive as Gus pointed out. There are far better and more appropriate ways to make your point. I wasn't questioning whether you were wrong or right just for the record. Perhaps you are the one that needs to pull his head in, in this case at least.PS: these kits have no association with me or the business I run.
-
there were some on Trade Me a while back, not sure if they are still there but it's worth a go.
-
My first reaction was what a w#&nker!! If you can't say anything nice keep your mouth shut, there are far better and nicer ways to get your point across. That surely must contravene the forum rules. Deserves to be banned or at the least a 2 star warning!! Anyway back to your kit, definitely different and will look a whole lot better when painted!

definitely the M6 style wheel - 18*8.5 all the way around
-
possibly a little of both and we didn't have time to lower the front.... has self levelling rear too. Will prob drop it 35mm or so in the next day or two.
-
just thought I would share with you all a 528 touring we did today. One of the better looking cars I have seen in a long time! PS the car is for sale through a dealer
-
Have you ever tried to polish a scratch out of Matt Black?

I am of mixed opinions when it comes to personalised plates and I own one (2TMPTN). It has only ever been on one of my cars (A VR4) cos the rest really were not up to standard. I see a lot of plates around and most of the time have a chuckle or think "yeah... good one" when they are done properly or are clever. What I CAN'T STAND though is the people that have obviously seen a plate and copied it but use a '5' for an 'S' or a '4' for an 'A' etc. My ususal response and 90% of the time out loud is "tosser". What I also don't get is the people that put the model of their car on the plate eg BMW325.

We have 15 sets coming in the first shipment... no idea on weight yet, I will have to have a look at the shipping doc's and get back to you. There wil be a few sets sent to Wgtn and chch stores Cheers Johno
-
$500 incl for the set to Bimmersport members, buy 2 sets and get them at $450 a set, cheers
-
Definitely ONE piece - The Asians LUUVVE their wheels to look like 2 or 3 piece, hence all the fake rivets!
-
Well boys and girls, I have finally managed to get some pics of our 15" wheel. Specs are as follows: 15*7 ET20 4*100 These are currently on the water and due to arrive by the end of the month. No firm pricing as yet but should have it in the next few days. cheers Johno

welcome to the club!! +1 on seeing Glenn @ Botany Motorworx.... and if you need tyres come and see me lol Cheers Johno -
Ollie why don't we close this topic - seems to be going on endlessly and it is the same discusion we have had previously in other threads.
-
Glenn was just trying to be helpful.... 4 cylinder springs and 6 cylinder springs are different due to the different weights of the engine.
-
price will be under $150 per wheel incl GST - just not sure how far under yet cheers
-
we have just had contact with the factory that makes these wheels!! Unfortunately to get them made we have to do minimum 100 pieces at a time in one colur, pcd and offset. My boss is working on a stocklist to see if they have any lying around and that we could buy. We also have 15*7 et20 wheels arriving end of this month!! primarily for E30 race class, but will post a pic up as soon as I find one!!

short answer (although not the best answer) is YES it will cure your problems. Obviously because you are on a budget this is the best way for YOU to cure tyre rubbing.

EOI: Adjustable Top Camber Mount
zenetti replied to zenetti's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
top mount bearing doesn't seem that good at the moment, working with supplier to try and find better, will keep you all updated. -
either send me a pm or go to our website www.magandtyredirect.com, I am normally out at Penrose but will be back and forward between our New Lynn for most of this week.cheers Johno
-
$160 per tyre is an awesome deal if they are new. Where abouts do you live? Yoiu may be able to pop in to one of our shops, and have a chat to one of us. We offer Bimmersport members a pretty sharp deal.
-
haha dirty old triangles - probably the noisiest tyre on the market!! Nevermind hope you got them at a great a price. Just a word of caution though - Be VERY VERY careful in the wet!! Triangle's are not known for the amount of grip they give.
-
A 215/35/19 will work but the wheel offset will have more to do with guard rub than anything else. Some brands of tyre tend to have a narrower "shoulder" than others so will look more "stretched " than others. PS: have you got the tyres already? If not let me know and what your budget is - we normally carry at least 20 in stock Cheers
