  1. I asked what stud pattern they were on a previous auction and I think he said they were 5 stud, but he then added he will not sell them separate, they either go with the car or he keeps them for his "race car".

Make him an offer he can't refuse maybe?

doesnt he say at the bottom of auction he will sell them sep? glad to hear he has a bemma too :)

should fit the m3 hi-tek shouldnt it? tho they are 10.5 at the back iv only seen 10' on them? how wide are the LM's on there now? may need to roll the gaurds..

  2. I totally agree Yuen... when someone finds the better one in NZ that everyone thinks exists...I'll buy it.

Please remember whether the price is too high or not ( and who can qualify the value ???) please give the owner some respect, he is offering the car for sale. No need to bag it (the car) or the owner.

    Please play nice guys :D

    AGREED! :D

  3. For the record : the only RHD car that I know of (as in from new) is the one referred to in Auckland. However, it was a prototype of sorts, albeit that it was assembled with the assistance of BMW German specialists. it was not assembled at the factory ion Germany so in that sense the 'only left hand drive production comment ' is correct. There were a number of E30M3's brought into NZ new (I owned one back then as well). These were converted to RHD by Road and Track and others for authorised approval for road registration and use on our roads. Similarly, Byrds in the UK converted a number of E30M3's for the same reasons.

    +1

    agreed.

It was "factory endorsed" though and able to be sold as that. of which there was only one!

performance bmw recently stated, misleadingly, there was one RHD produced as well.

it just fustrates me to see people claim what cars should be worth. i would gladly pay 100k for the cab if i had the money.

i would also happily pay more than a 100k for the evo that owner has/had in his garage too!

it only takes one passionate owner to shift market value. and the e30 m3 will never drop in price

  4. To be fair, they made less than 1,000 of them. I wonder if being a RHD conversion (I assume) affects the value negatively? Probably. I doubt it'll sell at that price unless a very enthusiastic buyer comes out of the woodwork (ie one who loves the car and thinks it will appreciate in value).

(edit) What has been spent isn't THAT relevant. It's "just" an M3 Cabrio, not one of the truely rare cars (which generally have a race pedigree) where you'd rescue one regardless of cost and condition.

    assume wrong!

This car is one of a kind! FACTORY RHD, you cant put a price on it but considering he has spent over 120K on it -i can vouch for it as i have seen the parts list from pauhaus in wellington when looking at parts for my m3,its a bargain!

its not "just" another m3 cabrio. its quite possibly the nicest example in the world...

when talking about value all your judging it on is what the market can afford to pay for it...

before you dog a car i suggest you do abit of research...

  6. if someone can help me by letting me know how to shrink files for bimmersport il post them under a for sale add..otherwise flick me a email at chompa_chompa@hotmail.com and il email them too you...

if you are wanting the evo seats in there purchase price is 22,000.00

20,000 is with standard e30 m3 seats....those seats are very rare unless you own a evo and id like to keep them.

also id also put in writing, should the new owner wish to sell me back the car in four years time after in graduate(wishful thinking maybe) i will give them ten grand profit! on top of purchase price and any reciepts he has since buying the car from me...within reason (please dont be tring to sqeeze any other engine in there)

  11. alpha N is old, got to go with the motec for ease of tuning as more people in new zealand can deal with this software and its got a whole lot more features alpha N doesnt have. going 2.4 wont change torque much, but if you did worry about it you can always get a evo crank.

going for an evo spec (2.5L) build engine going to cost you another 10 grand and for what 20 hp? doesnt seem worth it to me.

Unless you going grupe A, thats another story.for reliability the hp gains from 2.3 to 2.5 dont seem to warrant the extra cash.

would love grupe A gear as thats another 40 hp say and worth the dosh?! but for a street driven car i wouldnt go there. spesh coz it would need a rebuild every 60,000k?!?

and when and where would you get the rpm up over 6000 to use that power your 40k engine cost you???

street, daily driven 2.5L build with 295hp is the way im going..

    cant wait!

  12. i bought the one from CHCH about 6 weeks ago and its a 89,bought the car after being told from a number of people that a law change was coming which will mean we can rego them as LHD i been told, if not looks like it will be getting a cage and a log book.

    cant wait!
