Bmw ay heavy sh*t lol...I took 3 kg out of the wiring loom alone in my e30 and 39kg out of the front panel and bumper. Haha

hi all
1990 e30 2dr shell stripped out but still roling (no springs)
its a non sunroof model with manual steering .(was going to keep as a spear for race car but need the room.)
still has live plates
for anyone on here ill take a box of beers.

an another note don't use thoses flapper discs on a grinder ..the grinder is to fast and it will come apart...
I don't it once.......once......it broke in 2 and 1 bit got me right on the cock.......it dropped me and I had to finger check to see if the old boy was still there.

It's not the first time it has been done, but those conversions I've seen using the Lexus V8 have also used the Lexus gearbox. See here for one example.
There was an E28 ex-535i fitted with a Lexus V8 for sale on TradeMe recently, also (I think) turbo'd. IIRC that used the Lexus 'box.
ive got a 1uz in my e30 but I made that manual.....doing the 1uz swap is easy .....but if the factory bmw auto can handle say 10lb max then I might be keen or doing a m50b25 turbo this time around.

the reason im asking is this is my daily driver a 93 e34 touring and im wanting to make a wee bit of a sleeper out of it.
im planning on using a 1uz-fe auto and turboing it......but if the bmw autos are upto it I may consider turboing the m50b25.
I know the 1uz auto is up to it

had a feeling that maybe the case mate

got some issues with the tail gate.
pretty much nothing works. cant open the rear window...and no rear wiper .
pulled the panel off and everything seem to be fine. checked with the multi meter and no power
so im thinking it must be the wiring loom.
anyone had the same problem?
think I might just check were it goes from the body to hatch.and hopfully just solder up some wires.

same I got some for my e34 touring from ebay. for 22 pounds free shipping in the uk....sent them to a mate who sent them out to me for 8 pounds. ... was pretty much 60 something bucks.

thanks for the help guys.im pretty sure its fixed now.
topped it up before I went to work nf the heater worked.(better then ever. so hot now)
.topped it up a wee bit more when I left work and it goes up to half way on the temp gauge and stays there,
no leaking aswell.
will check tomorrow again and then that should be,it.

so if the tank comes aprt there must be a gasket or o ring in there and I wonder if that's where the 1 I just took out was leaking from.

I unclip the expansion tank and lift it high. Leave overflow hose disconnected and at normal level. Fill tank till all air expelled from overflow hose. Put everything back and start the Car with heater on hot. Bleed as normal, but I usually find most Ariel has already been expelled.
so you mean the tank on the side of the rad comes off?
