Wires.. wires everywhere!
Are you running new wires or just re running the old ones from the stock loom to the ECU?
90%all new from the loom.
running sequential injection , launch control and flat shift aswell
-
so we started the 50 odd wire link jobby yesterday.....getting there
-
Sounds good Dan.
While you already know this, the headers will hold you back a good ~10rwkw, stock ones are pretty diabolical, especially up top you will feel that 'strangled' feeling.
I've just done headers, and a cold air intake, dialed in 150 rwkw at the dyno so just over that 200hp mark which was about what I guessed.
A tune will sort the typical toyota overfueling up top which my run showed nicely on the a/f ratio. Max power on a stock engine? Who knows..
What did the LINK ecu set you back?
yeah the only reason I havnt done headers yet is im waiting to see what it like as im still thinking about a single turbo down the line so will make headers then..
that's why im doing single exhaust and a link ecu now.
as or the link its a linkplus g3 its been all checked out and came with new loom and usb serial link $700 on tardme.
ive been looking for agers and they pop up now and then.but this was ready to go.

it was AJ's (boss @ Pitstop Grey Lynn and Albany). Not quite sure about the motor itself, and i don't have further info on it, sorry.
cool thanks mate
-
awesome build, would go great with a good tune.
Michael, tune yours also
just had a quick flick threw the blog......I would be very happy with 196rwkw.
what has been done to the motor and do you have a video of the dyno runs?
-
Haha yeah it's pretty much like that with the stock engine management
It will be interesting to see what yours dynos in at... manual, link, Id expect 175rwkw+ if you also run good headers.
What are you doing for exhaust manifolds?
it will be
*standard motor
*factory headers
*2x 2.5" in to single 3" no cats 1 high flow muffler.
*k&n filter
*link ecu
*the only think driven of the motor is the ALT
* 5 speed manual.
and being realistic mate im want at least 200hp at the rears.

well I thought finding a fat boy seat was hard ....turns out so is fitting the bloody thing between the cage and tunnel.
-
hell yeah
-
well I opened the garage door for the 1st time in over a month.
and I managed to get all the rear alloy panelling done.and started to seal it all up
-
oil cooler , radiator and fan and fuel filler all mounted
-
getting closer to having it all plumbed up and running
-
flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, release bearing all done and engine and box back in for the last time.
