Wow, V8 heaven in here . Awesome cars guys .

Mark, can you PM your cell number so I can text you if I'm up in time .

Any excuse to drive out there.. But 9am, damn, why always on a Sunday >_<.

You obviously know nothing about computers.no-one writes any software for them
Jimmy has the right idea. Buy a computer for what you intend to use it for.
Can afford a Mac? Buy a Mac. You get what you pay for. If not, Dell/Acer is a good choice.

A MacBook Pro is by far the best laptop you can buy. There's nothing that comes even a mile close. Plus, they're bringing out brand new ones soon too! If you need Windows you can install it, if you can't go on the interwebs without getting a Virus you can use OSX - best of both worlds.
ED1RTY, here's a pro tip: don't download and execute pronviewer.exe. It's that simple.

My advice: go see Denzil, he's down the road from James (towards Lichfield), he did a great job on my car.

There has been some nice driving weather recently eh? Once you get Bimmer running through your veins there's no going back .

Haha ok, was a 323i of the exact some color, thought it might have been. Welcome anyway .Lol not me mate i am to old to be out that late at night in car parks i am fast asleep by then
-
Nice car, love the color! Did I see it parked at the Moorehouse Countdown at about 11pm last night?
-
Strut braces do make a difference, but you need to be near the limit.

I'd rather have half a cigarette than any of those cars. I smoke and it's my choice (not yours), I've quit for months but I rather like smoking. I'd like to live fast and die young rather than grow old and grouchy at them kids with blow off valves.1 year - 1992 Suzuki Bandit 250cc ($4380)
10 years - 1998 Porche Boxer ($43,800)
20 years - 2006 Holden Monaro ($87, 600)
40 years - 1976 Shelby Mustang GT500E ($175, 200)

That's sh*t hot, excellent work . When's the dyno ?

Awww what a kill joy, we all know looks > performance... Just kidding, the plenum is the least of my worries, it's 2g I'd much rather spend on a bigger churbo. HPF are my heroes, my clutch will most likely come from them, along with my e46 stage 3 turbo kit .no ..
Your stock cast intake will handle about 800odd bhp before it will inplode. This has been tested on other turbo s50b30.
Turbo plenium design is quite different from the N/A versions. Pleniums are like exhaust systems, They can look good but infact cause HP loss when buying into cheaper look good options.
The intakes runner length play a big part in torque and power levels. Turbo pleniums are usually a lot shorter to help with compressor spool up times and also made from materials such as steel/stainless.
Check out some of the designs from the s54 version from Horse power freaks

Holy crap that thing is awesome, I must find out if it can handle boost...These guys sell nice carbon intake systems for E30 M3/ E36 M3/ E46 M3. If i had an M3 this would be my first enhancement, you need to get as much AIR into the cylinder.
I wouldn't butcher the loom for aftermarket ecu, i would simply piggy back Mapecu 2 for fuel & timing.
-
Haha... Here we go... Just put a turbo on it !
Or go see Basil @ Autopassion about "Chip Tuning":
M3 3.0 - Old: 210 kW / 286 HP, New: 223 kW / 303 HP
And do the usual bolt ons (intake, exhaust etc).

If the engine blows up, it blows up. But it's not looking likely, many many experts have said the engine could run 14psi all day (not that I'll test this). There's a race car M Coupe with the 3.2L engine (which has higher compression ratio) which was also tuned by NZEFI that's running more boost than my setup with standard internals and I'm yet to hear of anything happening to it. In the end I don't really care if it does blow up, I've already got my next project lined up .
As for how things are running... Well, I went to a track day with crazyarab and lasted about 5 laps until the clutch packed up and started slipping above 4,000 rpm. The clutch was on its way out anyway so I'm not too upset (but flippin oath they're expensive ). A new (uprated) clutch is on its way so that will fix that .

No problem and good luck with the sale. A TradeMe auction is probably your best bet.thanks mate...... i really love this car but just too bad i cant keep it
-
Nice car, think I have seen it around (pictures don't really do it justice). Thought I was seeing double for a min there lol...
-
Haha yeah the track day was awesome fun for my 5 laps until my clutch gave up ... I'll be keeping my ear to the street for the next one .
-
I have a Bel STI and it's the most flipping awesome radar detector. Tried a V1, its reputation is dated.

Well I got the car back today, and holy hell I've never experienced anything like it before. Everything is a complete blur . Amazingly traction is not an issue what so ever, only hard launching and hard shifting spin the tyres but given that my clutch is standard I'll be granny shifting for a while anyway .
I took it out for a bit of a spin and it's pretty much the ideal way to lose your license or kill yourself, 50-160 in 3rd gear is just shrugged off within seconds (don't ask how I know).
Haha yeah, should be a interesting race given that your car would way about a million kg less .Nice thats about 120hp and 250tq more than mine, should tick along very well, I still want a drag
As far as I know .Very nice! I'm guessing you'd be the only one in NZ atm with your specific setup?
True, I actually managed to sell a few rides tonight. Hmm, could turn this in to a business .what a beast! cant wait to see it at a meet.
should charge $10 for a ride or something! haha im sure theres afew keen people

Ok so I thought I'd post up a collection of all my videos from over the past month. There's a dyno run, tunnel sound test, 2nd gear full boost pull (clutch starts to slip) and a 2nd gear 5psi pull (no slippage).
I'm not the best at keeping my camera steady while driving a 400 rwhp car and neither was the Mrs but you can get the idea .

Low Quality (8.5mb)
High Quality (21.5mb)
As the video states, all runs were done on a private road (except the tunnel where the speed limit was not exceeded). Honest!
