  1. Haha after all that brain washing he finally buys an M3... What do you know. After a very good thrash on the m3 before he bought it and jumped back on to his ver6 sti coupe he realises that no subi is a match for a m3 powermachine... LOL So much for a claim by a clubsub members that a ver6 sti will do 0-100 in 4.1 The night I left him with dust and smell of a stinky exhaust off my m3 on highway must have left him with a lasting impression. Never the less go the mighty m3s!!! Any Auckland m3 owners want to meet up for a cruise?
  2. Yes it is! but I gave them away... Thanks for the positive comments guys, The car is priced to sell as I am very tight on budget especially with the big hole I have on my wallet after the gearbox replacement on my e46. T.T Will get a new WOF next week unless it sells this weekend. Will also take this car to the ellerslie Sunday Carfair this weekend.
  3. Up for grabs one very tidy UK import e34 535iSE Original NZ Owner bought it in the UK while on a work OE, used it two years then brought it home in his luggage in 1996 he then ran it with full servicing for a further 11 years ! "The E34 was among the most reliable luxury cars on the market, earning the best-in-class reliability rating Intellichoice in 1991. It is still considered one of the most reliable BMWs made. It was also one of the safest cars on the road during its production with a very rigid body structure to protect occupants in the event of an accident." (quote:Wikipedia) 148,000miles bronze beige metallic exterior 3430cc inline 6cylinder M30 engine (widely known as bulletproof) 4owners REG Sep 2008, WOF Aug 2008 SONY Xplode CD Player with removable headplate, Excellent Sounds from all 6 speakers ABS Brakes Exterior: Excellent Panel & Paint......the odd scrapes and scratch, nothing much noticible, BMW Touch-up paint supplied with this vehicle Interior: Tan leather in top condition for age. Carpets, headlining and doors all good. Fully optioned with heated electric seats, factory BMW alarm, cruise control, dual climate, a/c, 60/40 split/fold rear seats, 2way sunroof, OBC with trip meter, fuel consumtion etc and origianl owners manual. Mechanical: Engine runs sweet, no cam/valve noise uses no oil or coolant, and just had its service around 1000km ago. auto has no issues and all 3 mode (inc Sports mode) working and no slipping Recent new bushes and gas shocks allround by the previous owner, not sure how long ago Accellerates and Runs Very Well especially on a longer trips, loves the long roads. NOTE: The car will be sold with its original 15' BMW alloys with good tyres on it as the wheels on the pictures dont belong to me. but will give you a rough indication as to how it will look even with a very average looking 16' BMW OEM mags Selling as I find it less practical for me especially living right in the middle of CBD Auckland. Would much rather suit someone who can get it out in the open or more on the motorway as I have gotten 9.2litre per 100km on a coromadel trip when I bought it but 16-17litre per 100km when Im driving town and suburb. Not asking alot at $2650 ono negotiable to a good new home Trademe Link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...710&ed=true Call or text me on: 021 112 1985 or (09) 309 5058 Can be view in CBD Auckland
  4. Maybe cheaper to sell the car as it is for that price then...
  5. It this for a E46 318i Gearbox? 5-6k??? Really?
  6. Hi, Im looking at a e30 318i manual to buy and use it as a daily runner. What should I watch out for? Any common issues and where do the rust appear usually? Also What kind of fuel consumption can I expect from it? Its facelife model. After a stint trying to use a e34 535i as a daily I want something which is reasonable on gas. Any Input will be much appreciated thanks!
  7. Car wouldnt move every 2nd time I press on the accel pedal and when we took it apart this afternoon there was oil everywhere and bits of fine metal everywhere. No Idea why suddenly.
  8. Hi guys as the title says, urgently after a gearbox for a auto e46 318i Prefer Auckland Locations for pickup. PLEASE HELP!!! RAY??? U got a spare one around?
  9. Yeah, I dont think the OBC on my e34 is correct. it even said 34litres per 100km at one stage. So i think its better doing the calculation myself. There was a couple of 540i I looked at and they were dealers. They were happy with tradein with my car but really I wanted to know few things about the 540 before I put my self in trouble. LOL
  10. Hi, I know this has been covered before many times over but I just want to know what sort of fuel consumption does your car get? i mean e34 535i and 540i models. I just bought a 535i and been driving it heaps and got about 220-230kms from a 27.8litre of fuel (95 Shell V power) but that was mainly on motorway from city to northshore suburbs i think it drops to about 17-22litres per 100km when mostly driving in City where I live. Before I even consider selling this and buying 540i purely because I like the V8 engines and the facelift look (Yes I know the M30 engines are widely known as bulletproof and bmw V8s are infamous for their oil leaks) I wanted to know if the V8s are better or worse in terms of fuel ecomony. Any input will be much appreciated..... Again. Oh and If you could also let me know what car and what sort of driving you do. ie suburb area, driving habits...etc LOL
  11. Hi, Just wondering as Jerry Claytons BMW has recommended me to use SHELL ULTRA HELIX 5w40 but recently I was chatting with a longtime m3 owner and hes told me that he uese Castrol Edge 0w40. I own the 3.0litre E36 m3. Please let me know what you use and results. Cheers!

    e34 540i NZ new

No its mostly because they got no balls??? LOL Just bought a E34 535. Knowing that the patrol price could now go up as high as 2.80per litre. But seriously, you might be paying a little extra for patrol than say your average boring corolla or a pulsar to save some bucks but I would pay that extra anyday for 1st Comfort and Safety this car is known for 2nd Class my 2c

  15. after long hard debate with big 6 and v8 i couldnt pass up on a prestine example so I bought a 535i It seems its one of the better and reliable bmw built but like anything it would help it were maintained better. Anyone got tips/experience on how to improve it long run??? Notorious Cooling Issues? Improving Fuel Economy? Common Problems? Any input will be much appreciated!
