Some further questions for any tranny experts. Is the 4hp22 from an e34 m20b25 a straight swap into an e30 m20b25? Lengths, plugs etc. I have been told the trans from a e30 m10 is a different housing from an m20, I have also heard the trans is only spc'd for a 4cyl no a 6. Is that right? Also, is see some e34's have a s/e switch. Is this the same as the one in an e30 ? i know the switch is different but plugs, trans ecu etc? Cheers

Can you give me a hint where the right places are? Will probably see how hard it is to extract the trans from the housing and try to swap into other housing?

I have been told euro style din55, not brand specific, they have terminals lower that the top of the battery so they fit under the factory battery restraint. A hefty extra few $$ over the standard battery.

Have swapped coil and given battery a full charge and problem has gone away.

I would start with checking the lead from the coil to the cap. I had another one that did that, the lead was broken at the coil plug.

Over last few weeks have done some fiddly jobs that had me wishing for little japanese hands and a flexible back: dash removal and swap, carpet swap, obc light replacement, electric aerial dismantle and refit (that plastic strip had come right out), fitted 4 new doors, swapped all those chrome door trims, clips and rubber seals, head lining removal and replacement, injector seal replacement. Hands now covered in solder burns, ingrained grease and scratches. car is now up for sale.

Anyone know the law/s on leases or tenancy agreements?

I think as a tenant you are entitled to "undisturbed possession" of the property and if the landlord cant provide that then you would have grounds to canel the lease without penalty. It will come down to who the landlord wants to keep. Get her to call tenency services on the 0800 number. They will call the landlord and mediate for her. Out of interest are we talking male gays or girl action? sorry...... -

I have found another ECU, the one in the car is 0 261 200 380 and the other is 0 261 203 448. Anyone know if these are interchangeable. Guess it won't hurt?

Hi, Do you still have the ECU and if so whats the number on it? Coil?

So i got the coil swapped over then found my ECU has an extra row of connectors in the plug and the unit is a different size. Does that make it a twin board? Took off with different coil and car is maybe running a little sweeter ? then cuts out worse than before, just the once though, i switched off sat for 5 mins then off again and all good. Will try again tomorrow when cold.

Ok will swap out ECU and Coil first. Has new cap, rotor and plugs.

Well, i had the pleasure of removing and cleaning the injectors but problem remains. Car is running a bit better (imaginery?) but not fixed. One tip was fully gunked up but unsure if that happened during removal while wrestling with the rail. I was lucky enough to have a full set of 12 injector seals from a previous head gasket kit. I recommend circlip pliers to fit the o rings over the injector tips - easy as. Also if you blip the accel at idle the revs choke for a moment then rev, almost like its going to stall. Doesn't affect cruising. Is that too lean or too rich? Will swap Coil and ECU with donor car, thanks for those suggestions, and also going to check throttle switch........? Process of elimination i guess............

Following the dirty injectors angle at the mo' anyone know how the top half of the injector loom plug comes off?
